Ok so you could use a 3x3 or veg then slap them in a 4x4.
Or a 4x4 for veg or a 2x4 , up to how long you want them vegging and to what size.

You can veg with a 315 cmh, or 400-600w metal halide. Or 300w of good LEDs in 4000k.

I used to get similar results in veg with a 315cmh in 4x4 as I did with 600w metal halide in the same space.

I used to feed a perpetual 8x4 flower tent with a 4x4 veg tent.
But there will always be time when you wish you had a bit more space. Try not to make things difficult for yourself by starting too small.

I would definately try to save some money on the electricity bill. So i think i would like som kind of led. I already planned to order 2×240 qb kingbrite for my flower tent. Maybe i should just order a third ? Or is it a waste of watt for vegg ?? Also i wonder if the spectrum is optimal for veg ?

I think its gonna be 3×3 tent for veg

Maybe get 4 boards separate, no fancy spectrum, just 4k . You can run the 4 boards at 50w each and get far better coverage and still be plenty of light for veg.

The boards at 50w don't need a heatsink, you can source the driver locally. Shipping will be much less.

Pretty happy with the pricing and results of the quantum boards. Hlg65 is the kit Light I veg with but believe it’s just a qb120 in 4K. Qb120 in 3k does good too but less of that vibrant green veg growth but can take through flower.

imo 6400k flourescent is pretty nice for veg too and cheap. i currently have a 4x4 tent for flower and i veg in a 2x4 tent with a 4' 4 tube 200w t5 fixture.

HLG 550 V2 B-spec is fantastic
I'm considering a 288 b-spec for a 2x2 veg/clone cabinet. Havent been able to find a whole lot of info from people using them. I take it you use the b-spec for veg? I've got 4 qb120s and I love them. I'm vegging under a T12 with 2 40w 4100k bulbs now on some seedlings that sprouted less than a week ago, but I'd like to veg them under a quantum board similar to what they will be under in flower. I feel like it would be less of a shock to them.

Just ordered a HLG 300L B-spec. Dimmable down time 90w with a max of 270w. I’m super stoked
