Last Time You Bought Weed? (vs GYO)

I just realized I've passed a kind of cool milestone. It's been over a year since I've bought anything but seeds. It took a few years of frustration to start to figure things out, but now the idea of paying someone else for cannabis seems so weird and wrong and, holy shit, expensive.:o

I know a year is nothing compared to some of you long-timers, but I have to start somewhere. ;)

So, anyone been on their own stash for 5 years? Since the 90's? Any true old-school hippies been feeding their own habit since the 70's?

It disgusts and frightens me at the thought of the poisons I've ingested over the 3 decades or so of consumption before I started growing.

A friend recently raved over a bag I shared, saying(in addition to the buzz) it was the first thing that hasn't made her cough her head off in a long time. Tap the pipe and a little white cone of ash falls out that disintegrates at the touch. GYO is the only way to go. :)

Wish I'd started growing back in '85. Ah well, onward and upward.

I stopped buying when the US started spraying with Paraquat.

I went about 10 months just recently without buying any. I chose to buy a few ounces of some other weed last month. Not because I had to, but because I wanted some different variety...

And yes, you do realize it is EXPENSIVE AS HELL!!! $300/ounce expensive.... Sheesh

The flower wasn’t bad at all. The buds were on the small side, but they had nice structure and very few stems, and I actually had no complaints. The only disappointing thing was the price. After taxes it cost me like $45-$50 for an eighth.

Price is the killer. Its taxed heavily and I've smoked shit from there and honestly like anyone who's been on this site for a a few years will probably agree. The quality is so so at best

Yeah, it’s 20% here. I usually go to the dispensary once a year when my buddy from out of state comes to visit. It’s not legal for rec use where he lives so he enjoys going to one during his trip just for shits and giggles.
