Rinse perlite before mixing with coco coir?

Hi everyone!

First time I mixed my perlite with coco coir it became very dusty, so I´m thinking if I should rinse the perlite before I mix it with the coco? Its easy to use a facemask when doing it, but I´m wondering more if it makes any diffrence in the growing itself? For exampel if it is bad for the seeds/plants while they are growing?

Thanks a million in advance!

Perlite is filled with dust that becomes sludge when wet.......it needs to be removed.
I use 2 five gallon buckets filled with water.
Take a couple scoops of perlite and put it in the first bucket.......swish it around and scoop out what floats.
Put that in the second bucket for a second rinse, doing the same thing. The good stuff floats and the powder sinks.
This is what sinks to the bottom.

Make sure you get perlite with no nitrogen.. Some of it has added nitrogen and will fuck your shit all up if you don't compensate.
I've rinsed, and not rinsed, been no difference in my plants.

WE RINSE IT SIMPLY SO WE DON'T BREATH IN THE DUST. the plants don't care if it's rinsed or not. i would just suggest slightly larger perlite size than standard is all. i would wet down the perlite with hand held sprayer or just hand water some in then mix as needed. kiss = keep it simple stu... works like a charm for weed.
