Nah, you'd have a fairly diverse set of plants. Not as diverse as an F2 or poly x poly, but diverse.even if you took say a poly and crossed it with an ibl, you'd still end up with an ibl og?

AK47 I think is probably a real f1 based on every report I've ever seen. Simon says the 'cherry' pheno doesn't exist. He suspects it's people with somewhat unsophisticated pallettes (or the opposite) who make the comparison. It is a pretty fruity smelling weed (with heavy dank undertones) at least in my experience. Thanks for clearing that up guys. Personally I think a stable F1 is ideal for someone with limited space and also wants a vigorous plant that doesn't have the inherent problems that some inbred lines do. But If you have the time, space, and patience a polyhybrid offers you the chance to hunt out phenos and select a plant that best suits you, which is pretty cool if you ask me. Imagine finding something totally unique like the cherry pheno of AK47, which supposedly pops up once every 1,000 plants, I would be totally stoked. It's all a matter of personal preference I guess, and one mans trash really is another mans treasure when it comes to this subject.
I haven't had that experience from Sannies, ever. I just popped some Sugar Punch and some Madberry and they were the first ones to pop and are the biggest. I suspect you never mentioned anything to Sannie in message? Because he generally takes care of any problems that do come up, but from my experience 9 out of 10 times its the growers fault when complaining about how a seed performed. Too hot, too cold, too much water, not enough light or too much nutrients. Its so much easier for a grower to blame a breeder instead of looking in the mirror.Sannie has some good strains - the seeds suck. Immature, weak and/or old. Rotate the stock.
I had 20 seeds 10 from Swami and 10 from Sannie
All of Swami's grew but only 1 of Sannie.
Going to make my own seeds.
if the beans you got were f7 then you made f8 beans not f2Here's a Sannie's Jack bud shot harvested at 12 weeks with some seeds in it. This plant was from f2s I made years ago from Sannie's f7 release of these I scooped up circa 2011. It's basically an IBL and the plants are almost identical in every way. Very strong sativa with huge yields. Seeing some great stuff using these in chucks.

You could also call them f8s but I didn't have many to select from. Once I'm making a selection I just call them f2s for my own record.if the beans you got were f7 then you made f8 beans not f2

I never had any germ problems with Sannies but all the gear I bought from them was back 8 years ago or so. Maybe the quality has slipped. No one can be good forever it seems. You are doing the right thing - breed your own sannie seeds. They make great genetics -but poor weak immature seeds
He did get busted and lost everything but I heard he got a lot back from his people and their backups of his gearI never had any germ problems with Sannies but all the gear I bought from them was back 8 years ago or so. Maybe the quality has slipped. No one can be good forever it seems.
@ChocoKush -- straight sativa up high with no haze effect.
Wasn't aware of that but thanks for the info. That certainly is a big deal and hard to recover from quickly no matter who you are or how many backups you have. He certainly put in the work as a breeder and deserves that credit. I learned a ton from his forum opengrow. To bring any strain to f8 deservers recognition. His Jack is a beast and probably has the least amount of variability in any strain I've grown. Pretty cool to see every seed turn out almost identical. He did get busted and lost everything but I heard he got a lot back from his people and their backups of his gear
It was some years back now. When Holland cracked down on seed seller’s whenever that was. After that a lot of breeders moved to Spaingreat when did that happen?
probably has quite the database.
