Should "snitches get stitches" if do gooder citizens report on their neighbors for lockdown violations ?

If you snitch on your neighbors your a low life piece of shit nobody. I just get irritated trying to understand people like this. I have a neighbor who calls the cops on me everytime I start a little backyard fire. I'm in the midwest and it's fucking raining everyday here we don't have wildfires like in California. Cops show up, I show them I have a fire pit and water nearby and they leave. They never tell me which one of my neighbors is snitching on me but eventually I will find out.

Years ago I was having a little band rehearsal in my garage when the cops showed up and said they'd received a noise complaint from a neighbor

Then the cop said he'd heard us as he was walking up and it didn't really seem so loud

I asked him who called the police on us and he said he wasn't supposed to tell me, and I said I would just like to talk to them and see if we couldn't work something out as neighbors

So he told me it was the house in back, across the alley

I went over there and tried to talk to the guy nicely but he was just an asshole- I told him if he didn't live in an uninsulated shack it wouldn't be so loud and left

I had no more problems with the police

Once these pussies find out you're onto them and not afraid of them, they shut the fuck right up

In any Police State, informants play a role in instilling compliance. Should people informing on their neighbors be lauded or condemned ?

Would you vote for a politician who voted to protect snitches ?
I would freaking tell on my neighbors if the were into 12 year old girls that they deemed mature. Don't want that shit in my neighborhood. Not snitching if you let the fuckface know you did it.

Thanks for the unsolicited information.

If you could tear yourself away from kids for a minute, how about weighing in on informing on a person under some kind of Orwellian lockdown ? You do that too?

Is this where you somehow try to get people to think it is groovy that Snowden smuggled out tools to attack our democracy to Russia?
Why is democracy good ? It removes individual rights more often than it protects them.

The entire process of democracy is slavish unless it is done with all participants being there on a voluntary basis and individually agreeing to the outcomes.

Why does something have to have a value like 'good' associated with it? Especially when it is just comprised of Human beings deciding to be decent to one another and if one or the other do some mean shit instead of just allowing each other to continue the spiral of violence we set up roadblocks to get vengeance. Unfortunately it was not equal nor just too much of the time, it is still better than that alternative. And we have been improving on it for at least 5,000 years.

If your system or way of doing things is reliant on actions like wars of aggression and legalized uses of or threats of use of offensive force, you're doing it wrong.

It doesn't matter if it's you or me or "democratically elected leader" doing those actions, you can't begin an alleged act of protection with a violation. That's like beating somebody, to end beatings. It's impossible.

Every political democracy which isn't reliant on voluntary participation without duress for peaceful abstainers, is based in offensive aggression. That's self evident.

love enslaving people by voting for policies that help them

some people are just irrational and suffering from paranoid schizophrenic delusions to the point where they need to be institutionalized

Translation - you'd like a license to run others lives for them, even when they disagree with you and you are a control freak.

Your control freak behavior could easily stem from anxiety or any number of things you've experienced.
