Are brand name lights from Alibaba legit or cheap knock offs?

No offense China, but this isn’t my first rodeo.

In the pic attached the vendor claims to be selling a Spider SF 2000 for $124.... so you can appreciate my skepticism. They provide PPFD chart, I’m not sure if it’s the manufacturer data, but if the light delivers what the documentation claims, I’d be pretty happy with this purchase.

Thoughts?

Spiderfarmer original is "knock off". Wouldnt trust the spec tooo much.

If you wanna use china boards id recommend using them at nominal power, about half to 2/3 of what most kits state as normal power levels. It gives a bit of efficiency boost and also makes the leds last loooong time.

is the 2020 spider farmer 1000w with samsung diodes worth buying ?

im thinking of adding the new 2020 spider farm 1000 watt any thoughts ? , added with my NOAH - S 1000w ( NOAH - S only draws 200w , its a 2020 version of a amazon generic LED out of china , you see littered every where on amazon. ) So both of those lights running for 4 Auto plants , and im...

Ha, it was from your very post that prompted me to make this thread >_< I just can’t accept a deal can be that good, there absolutely must be a catch, so I started this thread to see if there are others who’ve used these

Have you purchased the light and tested it? I might see if they’ll send one to Shane at MIGRO to test on his YouTube channel, but I’d really like to confirm or debunk these lights one way or another, completely independent of the retailer and / or their documentation and claims. With no disrespect to all the high quality manufacturers on that site, I have heard too many horror stories to trust something like this without a test or multiple positive reviews from somewhere like here. But if I get that I’ll chase them down the street with my money. I’m definitely interested and I want it to be true.

Just ordered off KingBrite a few days ago. The reviews are stellar, just look at the reviews. I think its hard to fake reviews on ALibaba, but dont quote me.

Like I said, the SF models on Amazon,are these lights just marked up.

Did you check out HongYi Lighting on Alibaba? They sell huge volume and they look like they make quality lights, but they're more expensive. Might go with them for my next room, will order samples before and get them tested of course.
