If a seed germinates is it a good seed?

First time chucker here... I pollinated a female orange harambe in week 3 of flower with grape ape pollen. The harambe is now in week u and I can see the seeds growing. I plucked one to check it out and attempted to germinate it. I checked this morning and the seed is opening up. Will this be a good seed if fully germinated?

Most likely. Not sure when "week u" is. But I do know one thing; If you put water on plants, they grow.

Those are huge for males. You can keep males super small and get enough pollen for soooo many seeds. A little goes a very very long way.

Well what had happened was lol my inlaw grew them from a seed and found out the hard way they were males. He immediately turned the lights off in defeat and I came and took pollen from the plants a couple days later. Then I chucked it on everything in my flower room.

Doomboy,

Typically, seeds don't germinate immediately upon removal from the calyx.
They require stratification, and need to be dried to trigger the correct conditions for germination.

When harvesting for seeds, I typically leave them a week or 2 longer to ensure proper development and viability.
You should see the calyx split when the seeds are mature (in most strains).

Luckily, the one you have is growing. I find these early go getters tend to be very mutant. I got a few albinos from these oddities.

Best of luck with your first seed harvest.

Happy growing!

I've had seeds from a plant I pollinated fall out of the bud on their own and start growing in the pot before I've even harvested the plant they came from. But when I harvest seeds I let them sit for a couple weeks before storing them in plastic vials.
