Not quite sure how it’s only 27% rh when it’s 90% outside. I would take a damp towel and hang it up high in the tent, then check your hygrometer. If it still shows 27% then your hygrometer is defective.

Did you put your meter in the sun outside, normally i take a reading of the hallway humidity meter with windows open to match my local weather station readings. Them things are sensitive to everything else you probably just need to find the right spot.

So i put a wet towel into the grow room and within about 20mins my temp went to 23oc and humidity upto 45 but this only lasted about a hour i think its because the walls and floor are pulling all the moisture in its very dry in there cant put a tent up due to its not very discreet so have had to make do with the boiler room this problem might go away when wall and floor have there fill any idea what else i could do

Plants are fine with low humidity, outdoors it can be low or high its never a problem. Cannabis growers stress, honestly it will be fine.

Good to hear and thanxs for the help
Plants regulate things pretty well, unless your in sealed rooms humidity is pretty impossible to regulate. Your tent seemed to be just what outside was - your local report seems questionable.

Nice to track and follow but your not going to see any change in plants low or high.

The only reason I suggested using the wet towel was to test the integrity of the hygrometer. Apparently it’s working because the humidity rose like I figured it would. It seems your only option is to get a humidifier like the rest of us. I would also suggest relying on a different hygrometer like one from inkbird, ( there are others ) reason being, you want to control when the humidifier kicks in or turns off. Set your desired humidity level and walk away. Even though the humidity outside the tent is high, that doesn’t always translate what’s inside the tent.

He would have to close the room his tent is in and humidify that otherwise a pointless exercise.

Humidity is not really a factor, not like you see everywhere outsude struggle because its low.

If you are unable to measure the humidity you cant control it...and it does matter imo. Start with good measurements. Guessing is bad...
