hi fellas, im just curious, did anyone tried to use some kind of dimmer to simulate real sunrise/sunset indoors?
Hi to you.hi fellas, im just curious, did anyone tried to use some kind of dimmer to simulate real sunrise/sunset indoors?
well, it could be engineered for sureHi to you.
Is there really such a tool
my point is, in the fkn nature, the sun doesnt just appear and disappear, it comes gradually... i was curious if anyone tried this and if yes, does it have any benefit...lolI've never heard of such a thing. canabis plant can adapt anythig.
As in?
if you want to shorten harvest time you can change 12/12 to 13/11California Light Works has an option to ramp up and down at the beginning and end of the light cycle on their Solar System controller. I use far red light (720-740nm) 5 minutes before and after lights out to trigger flowering and shorten harvest times.
Do you mean the benefit of ramping up and down at sunrise and sunset. As far as I know it has never been shown to cause any affect either way. I think CLW added the feature Just because they could.somebody explain me what it is benefits
Since the sun dwarfs any artificial lighting the plants can get indoors, I can't see any benefit to further reducing the output of an indoor light to try to mimic the sun coming over the horizon.my point is, in the fkn nature, the sun doesnt just appear and disappear, it comes gradually... i was curious if anyone tried this and if yes, does it have any benefit...lol
You can do this really easily with LEDs. Mycodo is a great control software for the rpi that has the ability to implement this.hi fellas, im just curious, did anyone tried to use some kind of dimmer to simulate real sunrise/sunset indoors?
yeah man, deff let me know when you start the project. i kind of got interested when im looking at the plants growing outdoors, they kind of start preparing for the night, getting their leaves down gradually. maybe as you said, they will grow healthier... who knowsYou can do this really easily with LEDs. Have I done it? No.
Why? The light in my tent doesn't compare to what you see outdoors. So you wouldn't be hitting DLI for the plants.
Am I interested? Yes, I wanted to do this to start but decided to forget it when dialing in my tent. I may try it in the future since it would be easy for my LEDs. I have a theory it will make the plants healthier because it mimics a more natural environment.
Side note: I am working on a fish tank that will change light levels over the day. Can't wait to see the results.
you are who knows who knows dude relaxand you can go fysu
