Hey all, just want to document this delve into a new realm of growing. I have dabbled in soil here and there for the last 10 years, maybe half a dozen grows all together, mostly all stealthy CFL grows and never to wow or impress anyone. I really enjoy the ride of watching a helpless little seedling turn into a beautiful budding plant. My cat also enjoys my hobby and gets to partake in fan leaves when trimming out excess. I have always wanted to try hydroponics and I ended up going down a hole one night and learning how easy it was to setup a top fed "bubbleponics" system. Once I acquired the needed supplies I ran a week dry run while waiting for my seeds to germ to establish a baseline on a few things. Today I moved the seedlings into their netpots. I kind of feel like I may have done it too soon, but I've seen conflicting answers on when the right time to do so is. I don't personally smoke anymore so this is really just for entertainment purposes. Feel free to comment and enjoy the ride with me. I will try to keep up with weekly posts on progression.

I bury the stem, upto first set of leaves when i upcan ;)
I appreciate the input. I've got a taproot coming through the bottom of the netpot so I don't think I'll implement this now, as to not stress the lil' ladies out. Though I do regret going with 3.5" pots. Next time I will be using probably 5" at least.

That's the plan, I'm really not worried about yields at all this grow, just learning, figuring out the course of action to take in certain situations and be better prepared for the next grow. Everything is going well so far, pH isn't causing too much of an issue which was my main concern. Water temps may need mitigated if I can't get them to remain stable throughout the day.

I switched the res out today. I could notice yesterday one looked like it could be having issues with nitrogen, not surprising as when I moved them to the res originally I only did about 50% of the nutes called for to make sure everything would go smoothly and not kill them out of the gate.

Everything seems good though other than that. Getting some nice fat healthy looking roots coming out of the net. Reaching down to the water. It's a very pleasant sight to see. I'm hoping to see some real growth this week with the nute load and their newly developed water suckers. Stay tuned for more!

Headed into day 9. Still lacking color in one plant but its growth seems to be fine. Oddly enough one of its cotyledons was "splitting" into two from the get go and it popped three fan leaves out of the first set as well so it's been a little goofy from the get go. This being my first dwc grow its REALLY cool seeing the roots come in and just how fucking long they grow and how much they change daily. Nothing super notable to report on so far. Looking into methods to cool my res a bit, it stays about the same temp as the ambient temp in the tent 73-76f. So I'm not super worried about it yet.
