Fox FarmOF vs Promix - comparison

So I started two seeds at the same time and wanted to try out this fox farm soil for the first time.

The seeds are auto daiquiri lime from Dutch passion.

I’ve watered them with the same amounts each time. Nutrients. Total volume. Etc.

the plant on the right is in fox farm ocean fresh. The left is in promix hp soil. Im actually quite surprised by the turnout.

Anyone else try this?

The word pro mix is used to describe a proffesional mix which will require you to to adjust the variables more than an organic based soil which takes care of a lot of that for you.

As you can screw up more in it you can also do better than a premixed soil with enough experience and why it is so popular in commercial settings where a few percent extra growth can mean a massive increase in profits.

promix plant should have gotten more nutes than the fox farm plant

Ive read the American promix bx hp myco stuff has two weeks supply of nutrients in it?

Most promix has little to no nutrients which is why i use it.
Im surprised it looks as good as it does. That plant doesnt have the benefit of all the extra nutes in the ffof

Both the bx and hp are nothing but a base soil with myco's. Just peat, perlite, lime, wetting agent, and myco. The bx has some vermiculite, otherwise they are the same.
I may be wrong, but i think the promix tomato herb mix is the only one with amendments in it

pro mix is peat moss, not soil. Other than that, bingo!

Yes it is a peat based medium without much of anything. That is what makes it so versatile.
I have only ever used the all purpose pro-mix from Home Depot.

i have just about tried em all, always go back to the bx, I just started using the bio fungicide added bx. I'll know in a couple months if there is any diff from the regular bx.
