Our blackberries are red now. A ripe one every now and again.I've been eating wild blackberries for a week now, ever morning and evening I just go and eat until I'm tired of being stabbed by those little bastard briars. Their so good and yet hurt so much......
Do the blackberries seem late this year or I'm I just being impatient. Our blackberries are red now. A ripe one every now and again.
I have ate my share of huckleberries. Not a great crop of them this year, but what is there is really sweet.
Not really late. Maybe. I just look for them when they start getting ripe. I'm the one always asking Sister when it's time to add ferts to the berry bushes.Do the blackberries seem late this year or I'm I just being impatient.
They taste good tooThose look nice.
We go out to Sauvie Island when the wild/invasive Himalayan's are ready and pick gallons of them on public land. Sauvie's Island is at the confluence of the Columbia and Wilamette rivers. There's also a ton of farms out there and sometimes we pick peaches as well when they're in season.I've been eating a few blackberries. But the hot dry weather is doing a number on them.
Amazing photo work as always, it's like looking at an O'Keefe masterpiece or an Audubon print. Now, I let a couple volunteers pick their spot.
