I grow both. Both have their place. If you haven't grown quality genetic autos then you are missing out. I use most of my autos for extractions and pain management. I find for myself autos tend to work better for my pain then photos. I know that sounds weird but my autos always have a much higher cbd ratio. What works for me might be completely different for the next guy. I think everyone should try them at least once.

Trust me we know here in Alaska. Guys busting 30%-32%. Supposedly. When I can buy a 1 gram preroll and smoke the entire thing driving home through the mountains I’m not buying it.

There's numerous Autos cranking over 21% easy! ...and yes, Seed companies will lie for the sake of marketing beans..It doesnt matter if they're photo or Autos...to suggest its just autos more of the same bias...

Well I have had my glue cut tested at almost 31%, and I paid for the test so I believe it's results. Thing is though, if you are willing to pay the extra there are companies that will give you those numbers on something that really only tested at 19%

The principle is very simple, ruderalis plants have very little THC but they auto flower. Breeding a photo with ruderalis means you can get the auto trait but you will also get a hit in THC production. Now genetics has the potential to every once in a while give a bean that will have higher THC and the auto flower but it's rare, most of the time you get the lower THC.

I did a Green Crack Auto run recently and it tested at 24.6% thc. Tested by Gobi Labs.

I appreciate your bias as a commercial guys and why it works for you..but, lets be fair...
How many people are consistently cranking out 31% cannabis? Very few IMO..mid 20's sure. Are you seriously going to "cherry pick" a few anomolies and call them the norm?

Second, just because you cant clone Autoflowering cannabis in the traditional sense doesn't mean genetics go out the window all together...Selfing, although not a clone, can do wonders for creating damn near a clone when genetics have been stabilized and are primarily homozygous.

and all of those "hybrids"'you're crankin out more than likely started in some field too for decades until genes were focused to what they are today...

People have the same BS assumptions with ruderallis...because it was there in the original low ryder genes from 30'years ago its still the same in autoflowers today!? As I said...tell that to Ace Seeds...

I have always found terpine profile is just as important if not more important as THC levels. I think too many people get caught up in the highest THC numbers when in my experience that doesn't necessarily mean the best weed. That's just my opinion. :bigjoint:

I still despise autos, they are a disservice to the cannabis gene pool and I don't care how many no timer having auto growers say they are awesome, they are terrible. In the future it might become nearly impossible to find genetics that haven't been contaminated with the ruderalis genes. I am firmly against it. Hope fully I will be long dead before that happens. I have already seen people grow out bag seeds thinking it's gonna be a good time and the plants started flowering because they were bag seed from an auto or auto pollen.

my brother grew out some bag seed that ended up being an auto.

This just seems to be a discussion of I hate Autos ...cuz...(because) People ask why? Response...just cuz. (no particular reason)

Bag seed? Ah ...blame that on the autos too! Seriously?

Renfro...I know you're a serious grower...but...You gotta be fair too dude..chuckle.

Anyone who take cannabis growing seriously is gonna question genetics coming outta bagseed anyway...Why? Not because its an auto, but because that seed has more than likely came from a Hermie...or questionable growing practices...You want photo Hermie genes from bagseed over Autos...?

Additionally, the amount of rudy genes floating around in good Autos is next to "Nil" these days...It's a recessive trait. So, we can all be thankful that photos are not going to get bred off the face the earth (phew)..chuckle

No question autos have an uphill battle gaining acceptability...kinda like the Ugly Stepchild...gotta a "problem"with your photo grow? Blame it in the autos...People starting a grow op with bagseed and it doesnt turn out? Oh, I'm sure it had "rudy" in it...(chuckle)

Things are going super smooth. I got my lst going to see if I can increase the yield on these lil ladies. Going for 4 oz each plant :shock: so haha check em out. So far no nutrients. Just watering when they feel light.
