Thoughts on co2 whilst growing

Hi guys I’m looking for some advice on co2 whilst growing , I’m only growing I’m a fairly small room about 3 metres squared with 8–12 plants . I’ve been using co2 bags but I’m thinking about getting a co2 reader and a bottle set but they are fairly expensive, is it worth the money or should I just stick with the bags ?

thanks in advance for any help!

well if you dont dial in VPD & increase luminosity then its all in vain (waste of money)... you need a closed, climate controlled system...

Yes I am sticking to my vpd , increased luminosity is something I’ve not heard of I’ll have a look into that .

Ah ok thanks for your advice , so it’s worth spending the money on a co2 set up like should it help with noticeable bigger yields?

if you get it dialed in correctly. huge difference. having a dialed in grow room where you control everything is more important than buying all that mj specific nutrients

Im currently venting the room when humidity gets to high , room is sealed very well . So ventilation fan is not on all the time.....

I typically keep the CO2 level @ 1200ppm throughout most of the grow, cutting it back to 400-500 the last two weeks of flower to ensure proper ripening.

Good Luck!

If you're going to use Co2 then do it right and get the proper equipment and setup the grow room correctly for Co2 use. Those bags you're using are worthless. Just a waste of money. You'll find people that claim they work but they don't. Especially when people are running an exhaust fan in their grow area. Co2 bags are just another scam only cannabis growers would pay for.

Yeah I wanna do it right if I’m gonna spend the money . I’m using growtronix to control my room and they have a co2 sensor it’s not cheap but I’m guessing irs worth the money .
so along with that I just need to get a regulator and co2 bottle right ?

Sounds about right to me!

I have two tanks - one is used in the room and the other is refilled at my convenience and used to swap when the room tank gets empty.

Good Luck!

Good Co2 info...

Regulator example with rain tubing.

FYI - a 20# tank will almost last the entire grow in my sealed 8ft x 8ft grow room w/ 12 plants.

CO2 is not expensive - it costs me 12 bux to fill a 20# tank.
