Checking runoff in organic soil is misunderstood. U have a lot of slow release nuts that won’t be seen in runoff. If it tells u anything it will be in the microbial life is thriving or not. Most people don’t give a shit about checking ec or ppm in organic if u have A health soil food web. If anything hit it with a ACT. Maybe some Bokassa/grokashi topdress.
Lastly, and again lol, your plants look really healthy. Don’t over do it. Good job man.

What not even a worm castings tea with just epsom salts and molasses ? I know a tea with guano and tree ashes would be too hot to constantly feed

You can give it EWC tea anytime. It's more for microbes than adding nutrients.

I think it’s misunderstood. If it is done over the whole grow it can tell u about changes. Those changes may be telling u to add of nutrients, yes but it could mean more micros, fungi, bacteria are needed. If only soluble liquids are used then runoff will definitely give u great specific nut info. But that’s basically hydro.

Some nutrients are broken down faster than others. As an example guano is a prettty hot amendment which will break down faster than something like oyster shell flour or fish bone meal.

Like Poly said, runoff isn't a great way to check the soil pH. It can give you an idea, but it can also be misleading. If you wanna know the true soil pH, a reliable pen works well. You can do a slurry test too, but it probably won't be as reliable.

Which roots organic product? which jobes product? Both would be nonliquid nutrients which means runoff can’t detect nutz that haven’t broken down, correct? @Richard Drysift says they take about 2 weeks give or take to break down. They also are packed with mycorrhizae and bacteria which is great.
If your base medium didn’t have enough nutz then u may need more nutz.. It is harder to over feed organic soil over hydro because the plant uptakes nutz as it wishes to.

I’m using roots organic soil. After 14 days I added a small handful Jobes 2-5-3 for tomatoes. About 3 tablespoons to my 5 gallon pot. I wasn’t sure how many waterings it would take or how available the nutrients would be. This is my first all organic grow.

Then just today I added another dose about the same amount as a few purple stems are starting to show up. The last does was 5-9. So 3 weeks give or take

It will give him an idea of how much nutrients are left in his soil and feel ok just giving water. He had no feeding schedule and no idea how much nutrients are in the soil. The run off ppm would give you an idea of what’s in there.

You might get an idea of how potent the soil is, but you'll have no idea how much of each nutrient is remaining. So it makes no sense why you would even check it to me. Just watch the plants and listen to what they're asking for.

The only one talking about TDS is you man. The OP was talking about pH before.

Adding jobes spikes right before flipping to 12/12 will ride u out till the end. those break down slower though.
If u have multiple plants, experiment. Soil is forgiving. Especially after the plant has established itself in healthy soil, which everything that I have seen in your medium is rockin’ dude. Bacteria, fungi, micros. Your only missing bokashi mycelium that I can see but I’m not the smartest person on this matter lol.
Also, the genetics play a role here. Some like it hotter and will want more and others won’t and will not uptake as much which means more nutz for the next round. You probably already know that though. Good luck

This was a few days ago. It’s too heavy after watering it to pull it out for a pic today again. So far so good. It’s pretty easy really. It’s starting to stretch out nice since this pic

You don't need bokashi to grow mycelium. Malted barley works too, but nothing like bokashi.

I've been using Grokashi, and it's crazy the fungal network that develops on top.

It has Karanja cake in it which is similar.

Karanja Oil Cake is the residue obtained from Karanja seed kernels which have been crushed to extract the oil. Rich in N-P-K, it is an excellent organic fertilizer.

thanks brother I went to check the runoff that i left the pots in and they’ve taken it all in overnight and the plants look more vibrant now. Thanks for the advice people and look after yourselves in these weird times
