I am an extreme novice at this point. But, I would like to move in to Hydro or Aeroponics at some point and have started to take a serious look at the General Hydroponic Rainforest-66. From what me and my limited knowledge can tell, it looks to be extremely versatile with its ability to change lids and net pot sizes.

Any of you have any thoughts on Aero vs. Hydro or that Rainforest system?

I've seen mentions of how Aero systems can't use some additives like Purple Maxx. Is that because of a clogged spray system or is there more to that?

I'm not going to rush out and buy one tomorrow... But, when I do, I'd like to have a good idea what I'm looking at and for.

Any suggestions as to what works, what doesn't work and way would be a huge help!

Thank ya. :)

That system is awesome! I also hear the truebogarden 14 sitw works good. @ stories i have herd for both systems and they all positive. Also if you in the rainforest range then 3x3 tables must look cool. I awaitng my 4x4x4 rw bubes today i hope to pop my sprouts into a cheapo hd mortar tray with ebay bought eand f fittings. Good luck to us all. Rianforest i read will grow you some great trees. I would go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that green machine is a very good suggestion, but if your a somewhat handy person its pretty easy to construct your own setup, i just made one almost the exact same as the green machine, the nice thing about those square fence posts, and PVC pipe. is that if its aero, or drip, or whatever, it also ends up having a NFT effect from slow draining. its a very quick system

notice for 35 dollars you can buy peices for the greemachine ready to assemble, its on the same website. each "arm" costs 35 dollars and contains all the plumbing. you could just put your own togethr. Prob save 100- 150 if you do a full size one. I got the trurbogarden pots coming and 4 inch rw blocks and i going to transplant my 1.5 inch cubes into those on a flood table. I am using a mortar tray form had till i get enuf cash for a 3x3 table! I wanna be able to move my pots around. It a lot more fun that way i thinking. they sell books on how to set up your own green machine. it looks pretty self expnatory
