Would you agree to work for someone if one of the terms of separation was something you objected to ?

Would you use a gun to force an employer to associate with somebody against the employer's will? That's what you're asking somebody else to do, use a gun to make the employer obey you. Would you do that on your own ?

However if you and I have an employment agreement, and the terms are that either of us may end the agreement at any time for our own reasons, that would suffice.

People can do anything they want, it doesn't mean that there might not be negative consequences for choosing to act in the way that they did. They agreed to that when they got a business license.
