Just a heads up Home Depot carries fox farms products now ... either Ocean Forest or Happy Frog would be a good place to start.

I hate miracle grow but even the black bag "organic" stuff from them would be better than time release imo.

Funny story I asked my dad to grab me some perlite the other day while he was at the ag store and he came back with Miracle Grow perlite...which has fucking time release fertilizers in it. I was like, man, you know me, you know I don't want that shit. I've got YOUR plants in YOUR backyard growing in all organic, locally sourced super soil and you show up with THIS?

I was thinking.. i know this may not make sense.. but what about putting them in 1gal pots of this crap for now and then putting in 5 gal full of something less nitro heavy in a couple weeks .. just trying to find some practical use for this stuff here

You don't need to transplant them yet. You have plenty of time to get some decent soil first. I'd start looking at Walmart online. You might be able to get everything shipped without it costing more.

Is that enough for just 2 plants.. its 140 each plant then? Or is it like 80 after the light hits the plant...
Depends how big you were planning to grow them. 1 gram per watt is fairly easy (maybe not for your first attempt ever). So you can expect 140+ grams dry per plant if you grow them right.

Problem is time release fertilizers like in MG is that they aren't actually time release, they are moisture released. So every time you water your plants get fed. Smaller container, dries out quicker, waters more often ... nute burnt plants.

Canopy size matters more than number of plants. 140w of blurple is good for about 3sq feet, so not even a 2x2 area. Tough to fit two plants in there.

Would this stuff be fine? They have it at wal mart by me .. 20 dollars for 10 pound bags.. idk if ill need 1 or 2 though
Yeah, I used that stuff for years. 12 quarts = 3 gallons, so each bag will do one bag or pot that size. That is outrageously expensive though to be honest. I get bags 3 times that size for less at the local agriculture stores.

Here's a 40lb bag at home depot that is way more reasonable.

I've grown in ocean forest many times it's just fine. I've heard of others having problems but never had any myself. I grow outdoors, though.

This stuff will work well? Its cheap so i gt ask because i love saving money if it will produce same results haha
It will work. The well part is debatable. Its basically exactly what you already have but repackaged to target a different audience, one that wouldn't normally buy miracle grow.

Don't get me wrong, you can grow weed in it, but if your going to go that route, just use what your girl already got you.

Honestly your best bet is to check a few stores nearby, even small hardware store chains. Call around, ask what they have in stock. Go in person. Potting soil is expensive online because its heavy and shipping is expensive.

You should all know I hate Miracle Grow by the way. Even if their soil worked well I'd never recommend it. They are a horrible corporation whose products are terrible for the environment, their customers and their employees. Factor in that I don't think ANY of their products are any good and I will passionately advise growers to use virtually ANYTHING else.

Yep. The local Ace has Black Gold and FFOF here.

Basically what i got out of reading about miracle grow was that it works good for vegetation.. but because the time release is soo long when you go to flower the plants are still getting vegetation nutrients
