Seems to me you are exactly doing butt hurt sour grapes posting.
Really so the tax revenues and sales numbers are just fake like the Corona virus? The new stores opening up are just running charities?

I'm not "defending", I'm simply not butt hurt sour grapes pissing and moaning everyday about legal weed. Eventually it's going to be legal and regulated everywhere. What did you expect, a free for all, sell it out the back of your van?
Whats wrong with that? Why do I need at least a million to be a micro producer?

The whole system is designed to keep the average person out and to keep competition to a minimum and its still failing...wonder why?

yeah i'm sure it's just a total coincidence the co-founder and former CEO of canadas (maybe the worlds?) largest cannabis company, chuck rifici of tweed, just happened to be the former Chief Financial Officer of the Liberal Party of Canada

the barriers for entry to the legal market are ridiculous and definitely designed to protect their monopoly, it's pure bullshit, it should be a free and fair open market

Because that's the cost of running a business. You can do it for less way less than a million if you're smart and depending on where you live. Rent, power, wages, water, taxes, QA etc that shit all costs money. Dont expect to grow out of a tent and sell out your backyard.

Its cost so much as gov set artificially inflated rules, prices and market size. How come the first two LP's that got licenses were provably way less money to set up than current micros. That was until Canopy and the share selling scams came along and everything sky rocketed.

Yeah sorry, no you cant. If you think you can just rent some space and set up shop, you dont know what your talking about. I would suggest you have a look at the regulations and then come tell me what it would cost to set up a micro LP

And even if I did want to grow in a tent and sell my product from garage, whats wrong with that? My tent weed would blow the doors off anything the LP's are producing and it would cost half as much.

Bro you and I both know the people who own and run those LPs probably haven't smoked a J in 20 years, if that. Those first LPs spent a fortune, the hired more than they needed, bought the most expensive lights they could and hung them 14' from the floor. Those folks are going bankrupt and at least 5 to 10 will be going down within 2 years. That's basic capitalism, who cares.

It just costs a lot in general regardless of regulations. Building a commercial grow space according to code and regulations that all places face. For

I'm very familiar with the regulations and have setup a micro. If you're in Vancouver yes sure it's more than a million, but if you're in say Swift Current or Salmon Arm its way less than a million and if you have the luxury of a greenhouse its even less. Tent weed is for self consumption, can't be regulated, nothing can be tracked etc. You can't brew beer out of your basement and sell it out your backdoor. Commercial is a government regulated industry, that's life and I understand that if you've never had to work in that environment and its challenging to adapt. It's not for everyone.

We must BOYCOTT these legal cannabis companies or we will be VERY SORRY in the future.
Truer words have not been spoken....
This particular company, who blatantly used medical patients and even said that they were" not pretending to be medical" on tee shirts
etc at the start of things...
It will be exceptionally nice to see canopy (tweed) fail even if its just a small cut back from current production.
It only seems fair that if they choose to scale back production ,that they also should have to give up that quota in grams .
It should be returned to Health Canada and then given to one or two small, wanna be producers in a more of a farm to gate type operation instead of indoor high cost model production.

The best part Cannadan is the regular"stoner" guys have handed these brute sized companies their asses. The very crowd they figured would flock to the schwaggs has given them the finger.
Us old school crowd has NOT given them the business they need or expected. I love this part and work towards it's fruition continuing.
BOYCOTTING is a way of life................with leather....on seat 32
