You got to get the right plants, a big part of that stuff at the pet store is only suitable for terrariums, they will survive submerged but not thrive, just slowly dieAnytime I put plants in my tank they die...
Last one I bought was Hornwort, Ceratophyllum Demersum. It just kept getting smaller before it all died.
