Help me identify this wild grown cannabis

I found this stranger in the "wild". What is it?

I went for my routine daily walk in our neighbourhood park today when I was pleasantly surpised to stumble on this little gal. Please help me identify it. Sativa? Indica? It looks like it could be flowering. Is it worth trying to collect and grow further at home in a pot?

The park is more of a retained natural stormwater management wetland / green space. There is a lot of water runoff from the surrounding suburb that goes through here, potentially some sewerage overflow during floods, but not likely. The seed probably came from someone ditching weed or seeds nearby.

Ha...wow...never in mt life have i ran across a "wild" cannabis plant...yup its flowering...must be an auto flower unless u live somehwerw where the day/night cycles are suited for flowering...
Yeah sure u could transplant it home...I would or else an animal or pest or human is gonna get it...its pretty

I know right!? It's like a bucket list item to me. For as long as I've known about weed, I've always been absolutely fixated on trying to spot a cannabis plant while going on walks and hikes, but it always turns out to be something else, but not today. It was such a satisfying find, especially since I was at the park having a smoke of it. Perhaps the weed found the weed through me haha... Anyway...

Yeah its middle of winter here now in the southern hemisphere (South Africa). It gets pretty cold at nights and it is very dry, so not the best place for a cannabis plant this time of year. During spring and summer however, we have an almost perfect climate in many regions of the country. I think it will be best to adopt it and give it some TLC.

That's pretty neat to find a plant growing like that.

If you're in South Africa the daylight hours are short enough right now for any photoperiod plant to flower. I doubt it's an auto. But what it is who knows. Traditionally the native strains to South Africa are sativa's like Durban, Kwazulu, Swazi, but lets just call it Dagga. You could try and dig it up and reveg it under 24/7.

any signs of tracks near it? I wonder if some teenager planted it and is super excited to get that "about a pound" of bud

looks like it will smoke OK in a month or two

It is fairly close to a walking route but very little disturbance near it, it has sort of grown in between and through other plants and routes, so it definately doesn't seem to be specifically planted and tended to. There is a high chance of other people being aware of it, but then again also really easy to miss. It will now become my 'couple of grams' of bud

I'm super stoked about the find. It would be cool if it is one of the native strains, but there's so many people in this area that buys all kinds of imported strains, that I wouldn't be surprised if its something completely foreign.
I wish I had more options for puttinf it into 24/7 now to reveg, but I only have one really small grow space currently (Journal link), and I switched the two plants in there to flowering exactly a week ago. I can squeeze this plant in there but then it will be part of the flowering cycle and I'll just allow it to continue flowering. Alternatively I can kick it all back into veg for a week or two and then put them all back into flowering together after that, which sounds like a bit of a waste for the other plants? What do you suggest?

So the mission is complete, I have harvested the discovery and I will give her some TLC. I was very careful to avoid any roots, dug around her. The soil was really bad and her roots seem very poor.

Excellent execution...yeah man go ahead n flower her with the other girls...shes looks Sativa so good chance shes native...if too many ppl frequented the area she woulda been gone by now that plants been there a minute...weeks+
