Plants Staying in Veg Stage

The light is good for vegging seedlings and by the looking at the soil there's a lack of roots and the stem coming out the ground shouldn't have the tender green look matching all the way into the soil or am I seeing it wrong. Those look like the lower branches that get cut when going into flower under 600w HPS.

I don't think its due to defoliating. I think its a crappy light. Even with the missing leaves; the nodding indicates low light. Even with a low number of 'solar panels' the plants should be flowering.

OP doesn't even know when they started 12/12. 'been around a month'.

I would just start over with a better light if you can afford it. If money is really tight hps/mh would be a better option since quality leds can get pricey.

I only just skimmed through this and maybe this idea is totally off base or has already been mentioned, but if you switched to 12/12 a month ago and they show no signs of flowering and you don’t know what strain they are, maybe they’re autoflowers? I’ve never grown autos but even under shit lighting when a photoperiod sensitive cannabis plant starts receiving 12 hours of darkness it begins flowering.

Quick update, it’s just started to flower! Maybe the issue was I took off too many leaves and stressed it out and only now it’s starting to recover

These 2 were advertised as 1200w and 600w but are really only 240w and 100ish watts... It's like saying a car engine can handle 1200hp before it blows up.. And advertising it as 1200hp even tho it it's not... Make sense?

Yeah I understand. Gonna invest in some better lights for my second grow. God, growing weed is so addictive tho, makes you wanna try new techniques and stuff every time

FWIW, do the work and build your lights. You’ll pay about $1 per watt of high quality LED any way you slice it. Your easiest bet is to get a board kit from HLG or Atreum, or even a Chinese knockoff. Strip builds are a little more involved, but you can save even more money putting stuff together yourself from electronics wholesalers like digikey and mouser.
