I am using this reflective sheet that i have tapped onto my wall
Sounds good. Here's my little setup:

2 flowering Girl Scout Cookies in the tent, 1 GSC seedling in the veg closet (note the mylar) with 2 clones. Harvest in 5-6 weeks, then these 3 move to the tent.

I have made, am probably making, and will certainly continue to make mistakes. But so far nothing fatal...

Ok i ordered a ph tester so i should be able to start testing what level of ph i am feeding them and ive seen ppl say they use that fertilizer and it helped there plants grow on like the reviews so hopefully it will help but to be honest i dont really need much fertilizer it is my first grow and I just want to make sure i get some nice healthy plants by harvest I will attempt to do some low stress training in a few weeks when i am actually able to and hopefully get a decent yield i am using 7-8l of soil im not sure if this is enough tho for flowering

That's what we're all here for, helping people grow.

Correctly informing about the importance and function of pH, and discouraging products to use in pH management that could be harmful or fatal to plants is how we get new growers through their first grow :)
I'm still a hobbyist - not a 'farmer' - and Jacob is, too. Errors and all, my tiny grow is thriving (Gasp! I've even using the dreaded Micacle Grow for fertilizer!!), and nothing I told him will kill his plants, either...

I use own brand seaweed extract, pond sludge buster for enzymes and all sorts of “non cannabis” products and outstrip a good few of my friends. What works is good for me!

I wanna be YOU, rotfl!!!

Gonna try a couple of outdoor plants next spring and was planning on getting some creekside peat-type soil plus Perlite. All they'll cost is a clone and some labor. I totally believe in failing up - been doing it VERY WELL all my life...

You should see my DWC scheme: 3 Tidy Cat cat litter pails in a stairstep, one collector, aerator, pump-supply tank at the bottom feeding the top pail(s) - and overflow feeding the others and getting repumped back up. Probably won't grow a damned thing, lol. But I'll have 2 harvests in the bank by then so times won't be TOO hard, lol...

You want as many photons as possible reaching the plants, so think 'reflect' vs. 'escape'. Mylar film does a good job - you can mount it to cardboard and put it on the walls of your 'closet'. Those silvered car windshield covers ($1.00 at Dollar General) would be a good, easy solution also. You've bought the light, you're paying for the electricity - make those photons WORK by making them bounce around until they hit leaves.

INCOMING light can mess up the flowering process, but your dark basement probably solves that - though the reflectors will help with that, too...
I tried telling his this last week

I added wood and cardboard inside of my tarp leaning against it to try and keep it dark i also added a blanket and some garbage bags hopefully this traps the light a bit better any thoughts?( Keep in mind i dont have a hole lot of space to deal with as well as i dont have the sources to build myself a proper grow room i am currently using whatever i can find around to maximize potential)

There is still one spot letting out lots of light

Think you'll be fine. Focus on keeping light OUT when you need it to be. Light escaping is just wasted, not fatal...
Alright thank you because from 7pm to 7am i should be able to get absolute darkness for flowering since its in my basement and there are no windows so i should be good

Make sure that there is absolutely no possible way that the sheets hanging there can fall onto or otherwise get close to the lamp. Build some form of support for it that makes this scenario impossible.

You've nearly started one fire in that space already.

Well the tarp is screwed in multiple areas and the blanked is also screwed into the ceiling and i also have wood planks inside leaning against the tarp and also trapping the light in to a certain amount

Hey i have a question on transplanting I would like to know if If i should transplant soon i can start to see the roots coming out the sides of the cup i used because it is clear and i only filled it up half way rookie mistake so now I am wondering if I should transplant early or wait a bit as it is in a small cup

It's way too early to transplant that.

First, it's not a good idea to grow in a clear cup. Roots don't like light. Typically, when the leaves grow wider than the pot (or in this case cup), it's pretty safe to transplant. Wait until the pot is dry before doing so though... don't transplant when the medium is wet.
