4x friends in the house, they all had there phones taken by police
1 friend had pictures of my grow on his pictures that he had taken while in my house. ( it wasnt his house raided, he was in the house at the time)

In the house they raided they found
1 1/2 oz weed
8 deals of hash
100g bar of hash

What are the odds the nosey cunts go through his phone & should i be worried.

They all been bailed but none have been given there phone back

If you're in an illegal state they can get a warrant which they will and go through the phone.

If your friend had the camera's location settings on the GPS coordinates would be embedded in the metadata for the photo's and they would have the exact location of your grow. If he had turned it off then all they have is some pictures that could have been taken anywhere.

Might want to ask your friend if he had turned off the camera's location setting.

My guess is it was turned on, but he can hope not.

This is solid advice. They will absolutely get into that phone and they will absolutely spend as much time as they need going through it. If the location is on or any conversation linking that picture to you then that could warrant an investigation into you. This might not happen fast. I live in an illegal state and everything I do related to that is on a burner phone. All pics emails everything is completely separate from my actual life.

You have a REAL reason to be scared and trippin! All advice above is solid.. If I were you I would have either moved them far, far away by now or straight chop and dispose of immediately. The odds are high that the cops are already working a case on you. From the pics on your pals phone. Plants are not worth going to prison over. JM2C

One of the first things I do when setting up a new phone is change the camera settings and turn off location settings which is typically on by default.

There was one guy awhile back that posted some pictures. I opened one up to zoom in on something and took a peek at the metadata. GPS coordinates were right there. I did a google maps of the coordinates and sent a private message to the guy with a picture of his street telling him his location was embedded in the picture. They said it wasn't where they lived but immediately deleted the picture and I haven't seen them posting since. They were in an an illegal country.

It's easy to turn off the camera's location settings. It might be different for different phones but it's going to be somewhere in the camera settings. This is not to be confused with GPS that is used for mapping and other location tasks.

In my phone you open the camera and then go to settings. You're going to want to make sure Location Tags is turned off.

Lol how many plants are you growing. The amount of door your buddy’s have isn’t even worth a Raid, they will see your plants and say that’s it???

lol. raiding for a tent worth of weed? thats the first Ive heard. I wouldnt wish that on anybody though.... even for the hobbyists who have a mini fridge grow.

From what Ive heard where Im at in Cali.... when people get raided here the worst thing that happens is you lost your harvest which is pretty bad but in the grand scheme of things..... its pretty alright.

we're talking quite a bit of lights too.

i dont think theyll go through all that trouble for that unless you have a big op going on where theyre targetting you. or one of your friends squeals on you to get him off the hook.

in either case you'd have to run a good sized operation for you to be worried lol.

I am so thankful to live where it is legal and grow without worry of raids. I do still worry about the nosey neighbor or some crackhead breaking in...I wouldn't wish that on anybody

as far as picture data, if your gps isn't turned on, neither is the location data. my gps is never on unless i need it for something.......or i forget to turn it back off lol
