WH sources told Fox News today that the president could announce a commutation of Stone’s sentence as early as tonight.

The president, today has said he was "looking at" offering Stone clemency, saying he was "very unfairly treated."

Stone was set to report to prison on July 14 to serve 40 months. He was sentenced in February to more than three years in prison after being convicted in November 2019 on seven counts of obstruction, witness tampering and making false statements to Congress on charges that stemmed from Mueller’s investigation. Stone, however, has appealed his conviction and continues to deny any wrongdoing.

Trump, for weeks, has signaled he could be open to granting Stone clemency, Tweeting last month that Stone was “a victim of a corrupt and illegal Witch Hunt, one which will go down as the greatest political crime in history. He can sleep well at night!”

Good, pardon that scumbag you dumb fuck, it will be the final straw in the mind of the American people that you have absolutely no morals or respect for the Courts of this Nation or the Rule of Law.

I think it will be a gift if he pardons Stone just before the Election.

Anyone that likes Aerosmith, hang around & listen.
All others, your boring & can leave :)

I really think Trump fucked himself by letting Stone go.
He's going to get lambasted by everyone over this pile of shit
Just wait for the next Lincoln Project ad, I'll bet they'll run with this ball & shove it right up Trump's ass :)
He won't pardon anybody who can testify against him, Roger had him by the balls and told him if he did one day in jail he'd fuck him. He can only commute a sentence after it has been imposed, Manafort might be next or maybe he'll wait until after the election, he will commute his sentence too, no pardons.

Donald now wants to throw your kids under the bus too, along with grandma, sacrifice the innocent on the bonfire of Donald's vanity and reelection hopes. I find that more disturbing and offensive than Stone's fate, Trust trump with your children's safety? I think not.

does anyone wish to explain the difference between commutation and pardon?
Commutation is when a convict has their sentence substituted to a lesser one (think a death sentence "commuted" to life in prison). A Pardon is when the conviction itself is wholly or at least partially overturned and thrown away.

Commutation does not remove the conviction, whereas a pardon does (in most cases).

Just think, Jeffrey Epstein could have got his sentence commuted too and maybe even a pardon! He conveniently died though.

The NY AG does have the capability to order a posthumous trial. It's very rare, but there is precedent. Typically when these trials do occur, they're to pacify the victims and their families.

trumpy* was only 35 miles away at his Bedminster NJ home for the weekend in an unannounced trip that friday night..trumpy* is so predictable..he loves doing his dirty work on a friday night.

wonder why no one has connected this?
I'm sure someone is, though not in an official capacity, yet. Donald and this buch have a lot of enemies and the list is growing by the day and death. Many of these very pissed off people will populate the DOJ in 5 months, you've seen a small fraction of them on TV, as the election draws near and Donald and the GOP go down, they will be talking to former colleagues and subordinates still in government much more on the phone. People will become increasingly reluctant to obey illegal orders, even the insiders unless they know they are gonna go down with Donald, like Bill Barr. After nov 3 (hopefully) Donald will be dead duck Donald and not lame duck Donald, with a burned out husk of a republican party in congress and many of these assholes facing not just unemployment, but the prospect of future physical harm from the people in their districts. Blood has been spilled in vast amounts and treason will likely be proved a year after they are home while getting death threats and spit on in public. This is not politics as usual, this will be the aftermath of a war, this will not be forgotten either, too many will have died and too much wrong committed.

Once this shit breaks open there will be a cascade effect as everyone runs for their lives and rats out as many as they can, Donald will be the biggest rat of all, he will throw everybody under the bus, they all know it too.
