Seeds on purpose. The male was very similar to this female in structure, but a fair bit bigger and with aromas out of this world. So off to the backyard he went to grow out lots of pollen sacks. About 2 weeks into flower, I chucked some pollen at her.

I spent 3 days collecting the pollen when it was at it's best, warm sunny days and the pollen sacks were really coming along. I have a way of gently breaking them over wax paper and collect purely the pollen. I contemplated adding a bit of flour to pull out any remaining moisture but I figure I will use the pollen within 4 - 5 months so not too worried about it.

but my apologies at this point I've hijacked this thread :(

Im fine with it!!! So the yellowish residue is the pollen correct? So after its in the wax paper how do you store it or whats the process for keeping the pollen usable in the future?

I fold the wax paper over the pollen and then seal it in masking tape.
just went and took a pic of my little packages of it for you

Ok folks, go ahead and make fun of me, I used Crop King genetics
(cut me some slack I'm just getting back into this after 8 years hiatus)

jeez, I hope I'm going to remember how to trim ;)

Any opinions on how much longer i should let this blue pyramid autoflower go before harvest?
What happened to the fans ?

Autos only need about 90 days of life average , so skinning them can at times just causes it to drag along as autos really hate stressors.
Also , breeder harvest times are always off. Autos finish better going between 9 / 10 weeks .

So you dont freeze it or anything just leave it sealed up? Do you keep it in darkness or any thing specific at all? Im still new at this ive only grown one other plant it was a gorilla glue auto now im doing blue pyramid and cheese auto but i just ordered some gorilla cookies from expertseedbank

I usually dont remove parts of the plant to inspect them....
I dont sit in rooms with HID lights inspecting plants for long. It's easier to take a bud when close to harvest time and inspect it outside of the room under direct fluorescent lighting. You can try to troll all you want ans pick apart peoples advice, but I'll carry on.

I always defoliate a little bit just to open up for more light penetration and i have no issues i do go very very light if any on a feeding schedule though i use ocean forest and both my plants are exactly 11 weeks today and the blue pyramid is so close to finish then my cheese auto is still a ways away before shes ready 20200620_201458.jpg

Sorry failed to mention yes it's in a spare freezer I have in the basement. As I'll need them I will take one packet out, there are about 6 with about a 1/5g of pollen each.
I might make a whole afghan line crossing it with other strains I have here. years ago I crossed Masterkush with White Widow, but that got kaiboshed by other projects.

How long does it take from that stage you just described before your actually producing good seeds?

It can take quite a while. I have a clone of the girl pictured above. I'll pop a few from this batch and see if there is a really standout pheno in there. Do that a few runs and see if you get consistency. Just keep selecting the juiciest girls and then let them get some pollen from one of the nicer, stinkier males.
The seeds should already be fairly good. As long as I can avoid hermies, and the plant keeps yielding this oh-so yummy bud, which has a distinct Welche's grapey aroma :weed:

When you pollenate them doesnt it cause the potency to go down or the thc percentage?

I don't pollinate the whole plant, just a few of the buds, not all. Those that get pollinated won't grow as fat as the others, but afaik the overall potency of the resin on the plant doesn't really drop, but I could be wrong.
