Basic but essential equipment for an indoor grow

The most important thing you can acquire, and I learnt the hard way, is Patience. It doesn't cost you a dime, but could cost you all your time!!!!!!
I’ll have patience for the first grow but after that we’ll show how we go . Let’s just hope I don’t finish all my bud before the 2nd harvest comes

Any oscillating fan should do right. 2 6” fans sound good for a 5x5?
I just got a couple of these.
Placed horizontally in the top of my tent it draws the hot air in and circulates it down and around the front then back up again.

Even on the low setting in a 4'x8' the 32" gives a nice gentle breeze all through the tent due to the exhaust being curved giving it a constant oscillation spread without actually having to move.

I think for us growers in tents these have a lot more value to them than the standard oscillating towers since you don't have to take up any floor space.

Picked mine up @ a Menards if that helps at all.

Mixing bin and stuff for your next crop..be prepared while being patient.
Sprayers for misting and pests, scissors, grafting tape for supercropping etc.

Measuring syringes makes life easy, then some Ph and EC chems for calibration and cleaning.
Spend the money for nice EC and PH meters, you are going to use them ceaselessly for the next couple years
You can get some decent cheap meters, they just tend not to be waterproof and prone to unexpected failure.

Try to keep additives to a minimum. Cal mag, ph up & down, silca, and BT, spinosad, azamax, pyrethrin for IPM

You never said it was HPS if you did my bad. I figured it was some 1200w 120 true watt led.
Oh shit my bad:lol:. Would I be able to use hps bulbs from seedlings to harvest. If I can’t could you please send me a link with a full spectrum 1000-1200 watt led light or just tell me a good brand. Thanks for any advice

Awesome fan looks stylish and more practical than a normal oscillating fan. Probably going to buy one thanks for your help

Thanks for your help. Should I add the nutrients in the water also should I ph the water up or down after I add the nutrients to the water if I have to

Definitely dissolve the nutrients into water, then check EC/PPM of solution, then adust ph. If using silca, then silca goes in water +30 min before nutes.
Don't blindly follow the nutrient bottle schedule, feed at lower rates until the plant says otherwise.

Opposite is true for biotics and pesticides, always follow the directions to a tee.
The pesticides/biotics can be added to the feed to treat roots or for systemic uptake( read labeling) or apply foliar spray at correct ph, usually 5.5 to 6.2.

Just start with treating your soil during seedling stage with BTi for gnats and grubs, then spinosad for foiliar pests
Azadirachtins and pyrethrins can be used, or other products like Regalia and Grandevo work well. $100 for bug control is money well spent.

The point is, you have to do something active about bugs, not wait for the outbreak.
Apply the powerful stuff before flower, put out traps to monitor outbreaks or catch stray bugs, no debris or standing water, and never put outdoor stuff inside.

Thanks for your advice. I assume you’ve been growing for some time or at least have grown a couple times, if you don’t mind could you tell me if you’ve grown in a 5x5 and if I should use a spider farm sp4000 or an HLG qb96 elite v2?

For what a tent cost you can buy a 1000hps that don't need to be stuffed in the foil box.

One of those pedestal oscillating fans are under thirty bucks.

A climate-controlled room.

Five gallon bucket and some good potting soil

I use HPS seed to harvest as do many others.

I’m trying to keep the light to a minimum I may or may not use the foil hood depending on the price

I would buy a gavita double ended 1000 watt set up. heat is a bit of a issue but they pound out the light

Could you send me a link to the bulbs and are all the hoods the same or is more expensive the better?
I go to Home Depot. I have a vivosun 600w HPS with dimmable ballast, 250w/400w/600w and then a super lumen setting. It was $150 on Amazon. I recommend buying a 250w bulb to start plants and then moving to the 400/600w once the plant has hit its veg stage. Great light so far, only issue is I’m struggling to keep temps under 80F and humidity above 35%. It’s very hot and dry here in California! Good luck
