Cal Mag and Tap Water

I have been reading that Cal mag is best used with RO water. I do not have an RO system, and don't plan on getting one anytime soon. I am using filtered water from the tap. Here are my numbers coming from my blue lab combo meter:
pH = 9.5
EC = .2
PPM 500 = 140
PPM 700 = 190

I am using the advanced nutrients three part pH perfect. I want to add some cal-mag to this as I think my plant would benefit from the extra calcium and magnesium.
It is only about 5 weeks old, and I have been using the Fox Farm ocean Forest soil.

Should I just use a extremely lower dose until these plants get older, as my PPM is already 140? Anyone care to share their opinion on how much Cal-Mag would be good to add to get my EC to a 1.3 reading for nutes before adding to plant or is that something I just need to try and accomplish when I am adding nutes to water and judging by what the combo meter says?

Are you showing signs of either Ca or Mg deficiency? No need to add stuff into your nutrient solution if the plants aren't showing they need it.

The AN nute trio has Ca and Mg. So does your water. So you probably don't need more.

Your problem could be pH related. What are you doing to correct water pH?

Almost every time I used tap water, no matter where I lived or what I added to it, it always fucked with the plants. To many heavy metals or chemicals or whst ever. It would lock the soil and i would have to flush and save them with RO. I am sure this is based on where you live etc etc but I am a sworn believer in RO water. I am thinking of trying rain water though but havnt read up On it enough. Also I sure hope you are lowering your Ph!
