Myccorhizae applied directly to cuttings? I just tried it...

Hi. First year grower here, second round of clones.
I took my intial cuttings and dropped them in water. Then I cleaned up some leaves and snip-tipped the remaining ones.
Had rockwool prepared with a solution of 30x diluted Dip'n'gro, in a dome tray. Also, had two pots of soil, same.
In succession I pulled each cutting from the water, quickly scored a couple times near stem-bottom, the quickly dipped in Mykos(tm, from "Extreme Gardening") mycorrhizal inoculant powder, then in Clonex Gel, then rockwool, off center from the hole- where I had added a dash of mycc powder, too.
Question- Has anyone tried this, and did they find it helped root?
Thanks in advance.

Also- i sprayed the inside of the domes down well with water and locked them on tgeir bases tight. I don't plan on opening them for 3 days, in warm but shaded weather...

I don't think the myco will do anything until the roots form in your medium and work along with the beneficial bacteria. Let's get an update tho in a week bongsmilie

Mykos will not do anything unless roots are present. Xtreme sells AZOS that they recommend to use to help root cuttings.

I was under the impression, if they don't hit roots within 24 hrs, they will start to die. I always wait for roots, then powder roots when putting into soil.

I also dipped my cuttings in mycos during my last round of cloning.

Results were good, I had roots and put the clones in dirt in 12 days.

I don't know if the mycos did anything because I also used compost tea (instead of azos) for bacteria and fish hydro for nutrients to wet/innoculate my rapid rooters. I will say the mycs didn't hurt and two teaspoons worth of myco powder didn't cost me much so it was worth it.

Nice. Yeah the stuff is pretty cheap since I’m just doing a personal grow. I’m actually hoping it will help make them plantable sooner than a couple weeks (that’s partly why I tried) but no biggie- if it gives them strong roots it’s worth it!
