Flush or not to flush, that is the question

Yep I’ve ran the side by sides with identical clones multiple times. Flushing does nothing beneficial to a healthy plant.

Over feeding is a common mistake. New growers think the more nutrients they can give their plants the bigger the buds will get. That isn’t how it works though. Your goal in feeding your plant should just be to keep it healthy so it can reach it full potential.

thanks for all the thoughts my takeaway is i am flushing the last 7-10 of flower i use moab and hous and garden I think the clear water flush is good to finish, in my case just to nudge the plant in the right direction

I don’t know how many times I’ve said this just in the last month alone.

My advice to any one is

PERFECT YOUR ENVIRONMENT,

KEEP YOUR PLANTS LEAVES AS GREEN AND HEALTHY AS POSSIBLE!

Flushing is fun! The thing is, the only time doing it is of any use is when doing a transplant into a larger pot. Imagine your girl is vegging for weeks, she's getting rootbound and exploding with growth. Those fan leaves are getting bigger than your hand. Now you know you've been feeding her good for weeks and it's time for a larger pot. After the soil dries completely from the last feed, then do a good flush. Wait until the soil dries again and then do your transplant into the bigger pot.

Weed that’s flushed properly burns with white ash, unflushed weed burns black. Fact! Only exception to flushing is for organic growers. I don’t want to smoke the residual Chems in hydro weed. Flushing DOES remove mineral feed from the buds by dilution as the plant is only getting water, do it long enough and u got clean weed. Basic science, remember 99% of YouTube videos are opinion. Not fact

PLEASE, show me where you got this "fact" from?

35 years of smoking, that’s where the fact comes from. Like I say, basic chemistry
your fact is as flawed as your whole basic chemistry theory and that is a fact, jack
please explain to me how a plant knows the difference from a nitrogen ion that is readily available and 1 that needs to be broken down. then explain how those ions are and this is a big word, photosynthesized into starches that the plant uses for food. please explain how organic and synthetic nitrogen and the other 15 elements are different. then explain how the chemical H20 works in an organic garden.
it's basic chemistry

ohh, AND,then, please explain how you flush that out of the plant.

I’m pretty sure I posted an article From RX GREEN technologies in this thread already lol.

And yet still the white ash black ash smoother harsher bullshit still remains. Ffs. :wall:
I hate when people try to say you have to flush synthetic but not organic like the nutrients are different somehow. then their "fact' is based on bro science. I'm at a point where responding to flushing threads is just as dumb as a flushing thread.:bigjoint:

It pisses me off that we have this debate ever other week and have done for years when so many people have testing and analysis at their finger tips these days for a reasonable price.

We should get a bunch of peeps together and crowd fund a simple trial ourselves and just put this to bed already.
Its the only way to do it without giving people cause to complain about the source of the info.

Im English so I cant get shit tested but I would happily stick a few hundred in the pot to finish this argument for good.

Get the results in , post on here and get it made a sticky

@Geozander comment about black ash and smooth smoke fucking cracked me up.

obviously this is someone who must over feed their plants.

plants uptake IONS.

synthetic nutes the IONS are already to be uptaken.

organic nutes the bioherd need to convert organic compounds into IONS for uptake.

now I’m not saying that organic or synthetic is better what I’m saying is the plant requires nutrients to be available as IONS. It does not know if those IONS have come from a synthetic source or an organic one.

regardless it still uptakes IONS.

@Geozander could you explain why you don’t think organic would require flushing but synthetic do?

Maybe this will be a worthwhile read.

personally I don’t. But I do taper down my nutrient strength in the last couple of weeks.
Thanks for the link, I might just give them water then for the final 2 weeks if no improvement was found, that way I can save some nutes for the next runs.
