I’m sure once parliament figure a way that only big business will profit we’ll see the laws “relaxed” somewhat.
I don’t think we’ll see Dutch or US style coffee shops or dispensaries unfortunately.
Will we profit by adding another way to abuse your body and mind to the NHS though, even smoking related disease is stretching the service to breaking point and not even started on the mental side which already is failing.
America doesn't think much and uses quick fixes, we do stuff differently and restarting lost economies will give more revenue that the tax in a drug so it's not at the top of any list.
Medically it won't be cannabis here either just a spectrum of the active chemicals needed to solve a singular problem and probably in a synthetic altered state you won't recognize or get high from. From a medical point cannabis smoking or ingesting cures nothing and relieves only a few medical complications with illness, a targeted drug will cure more and do better without the high side.
What might happen is that every country in Europe might one day legalized and that will force us to follow suit, activists need to make that happen before petitioning the government, med and stoners, everytime some American comes here with the latest tax relief idea and study I think your talking to the wrong people, go push it on an easy euro country and check back here in ten years.
Of course in ten years the med sector won't need cannabis and we can simply relax laws Futher and enjoy the surrounding countries cannabis holidays.
