If I ever buy another I definitely will check out those u mentioned. Thanku for the info. They sure got me. I bought 3 different types of LED. First was a 600 watt FSG tek thinking it would bud several plants in a 4x4 tent then moved to the 1000 Bestva then the "1500 watt" Highgrow. Now Im outta money for lights lol. What a fool. But Im learning.
Do yourself a favor and get away from those blurple LEDs that claim to 1000watt
They are fine to veg with, check our RapidLED and take a crack at some DIY LED lights

Those you have will still produce. I’d keep em around 12-15 inches away. Keep temps in low 80’s with led. If you see your plants responding in a negative way, which I’m sure you shouldn’t, just back away by an inch or two until things smooth out.
[/QUOTE I plan to use the Highgrow 300 watt and a Bestva 185 watt in a 3x3 tent and only 3 plants. I figure that should b giid enough to make the electric bill worth it lol

Is it true when the leaves start to die off its a sign autos are nearing harvest?
I think that’s just the plant using up it’s nitrogen because most grower either “flush” or cut back on nutrients all together. The plant will and would die eventually but I don’t think you’re seeing this here.

See thats exactly what Im talking about. How can a light b considered a 1000 watt when it only draws 185 watt?? I notice they do say 1000 watt LED power but what does that even mean??
It's bullshit marketing practices. People who buy before doing research get suckered into thinking that it is equivalent to a 1000 watt HID. It takes 1000 watts of blurple light to match 1000 watts of HID. But in contrast, it takes about 650 to 800 watts of high quality LEDs(Citizen, Cree, Bridgelux, Samsung, Osram) to match a 1000 watt HID light.

Look at HLG, SF-1000 - 4000, MarsHydro, Gavita. If you're interested in going on alibaba.com they have some cheap options from china on some good quantum boards. Samsung diodes and Mean well drivers are what most people are looking at. LED companies put misleading advertisements on their products to lure new growers (myself included). Amazon is probably the worse. Don't believe the reviews on there, half of them are probably not even reviews for the product you're looking at. Most of these companies buy bulk from b2b and b2c sites like alibaba and just have them slap their logo on it and sell it for triple than what they paid for it. It really just depends on the route you wanna go.
Mars Hydro and Spider Farmer are both Chinese lights too.

Thank you so much for clarifying that

I have been growing one auto Sour Diesel under a 1000 watt Bestva. She is about 50 days old.and is a bushy plant covered in Baby buds but seems to have stalled out. The buds do not wanna fatten up and lots of little pistols that don't wanna grow. I wonder is it the light? I see it only draws 185 watts from the wall and that seems weak. Has anyone ever grown under a 1000 Watt LED? Im new to the indoor tent and light situation and no nothing about LED lights. I
you almost had it. Your light isnt 1000w if it pulls 185w, its a 185w light. Sorry you got fooled by blurple advertising

Oh I sure did get fooled. Gish the flase info out there is incredible !! False reviews as well. But honestly it was my fault as I did not research enough and I do know better. But I figure I can put my 1500 Highgrow and the 1000 Bestva for a grand total of 484 watts. In a 3x3 tent with 2 or 3 plants at the most I figure I should b ok. However when the time comes for another light I will b smarter about what I choose.

in a 3x3' id do 1 or 2 LST'd plants. 3 will be cramped. speaking from very recent experience lol. you will get good results with that much light in there

Thank you for tbe input. It seems there is just so much misleading info on LEDs. Even the Amazon reviews I read seem very misleading. Like budding multiple plants under a 600 watt...
Iconsidered buying their "1000 watt" unit for a test grow in a 2ft by 2 ft closet.they are not as efficient as the white LEDS everyone here is pushing but they have a much better SPD including violet and a little UV. then I read the reviews. the first one said 4 rows of diodes went out after 3 month. false and misleading claims have always been a problem with LED makers. when someone make a unit like this with high quality diodes that is affordable compared to other grow lights. then LEDS will be ready for prime time
