I didn't say you're anything. I also didn't say it didn't work.
I threw out a question and left it up to the reader to answer it for themselves.
That's the second time someone accused me of saying something I didn't in this thread.

It doesn’t. People have tried this for decades and it doesn’t work. Many articles have been written about it. Either the OP has a very bad nose and can’t smell...or he’s trolling new growers for shits and giggles.
I'm not angry at all, just a little passive aggressiveness due to the sheer stupidity of the whole thing. I posted a very logical question that even a grower that's done one grow would be able to answer.

Fair enough. I urge you not to start pouring in random mixes of fruits from around the house as a test, particularly on your first grow.

I run a lot of different phenos to find the smells I'm looking for and just keep mothers.
That being said, I saw the video with Kevin jodrey talking about different inputs effecting flavor. The part that has me confused is that he claims that judges at cannabis cups could tell who had used Bud Candy by tatse.
Also bontanicare sells sweet in a bunch of different flavors what would the point of this be?
I really have no interest in doing this as I prefer to just find naturally nice pheno to keep as a mother. That's being said either Bontanicare is ripping people off making so many different flavors, and the judges were lying about being able to tell which buds were grown with bud candy or it's possible.
I don't grow in dirt or outdoor much so I won't be trying anytime soon but it's interesting to see.
As far as why people in legal states aren't doing this, they kind of are just in a different way. I've bought several "moon rocks" that had definitely been flavored with some artificial flavor, I could taste it in my bowl for a week. They had Pina coloda, and fruity flavors, I tried a few and all smelled and tasted like some sort of nasty air freshener. I can't say for sure about flower but I've almost positive I've had atleast one gram of flower that tasted too much like an orange, to the point it was gross. I don't like artificial flavors I suspect these were all flavored with cheap terpenes.

Waste of good fruit roll up, but interested in how they get it to burn it's so tacky. I dunno id rather eat it after smoking lol.

I totally believe there are many hiden and perfected methods in the industry not shared so I do spend time trying to understand the chemistry and breakdown of my plants to do some trial and error tests. "There is no such thing and one way or the other when it comes to cannabis"

and there are some professional flower boosters which claim to be able to also enhance flavour & taste, more sweet.
Biobizz TopMax for example, but I find it rather to deceive the natural taste of the weed...
