Any freakshow growers around? What sort of phenotypes have you had?

Im growing 4 of these from regular seeds, one became male and 3 females. All very different phenotypes. Im wondering how much variance really is there with these? I dont seem to find any proper grow diaries for these and just one youtuber who grew some and made a few videos on. Ofc there are some pics around the web from ready plants, but would be nice to hear from some grower how they started flowering and if there were some special phenotypes or especially crappy ones that you could spot early one etc. One of these 3 barely seems to put out flowers and is acting weird in some other ways as well.

I also noticed that with 2 of these, the stems of leafs seem to snap very easily and the leaf stem is hollow in bigger leafs. If i understand correctly this is a sign of some nutrient defieciency, but i never had same issue and it doesent show any other signs, so im not sure if its genetic. Anyone noticed the same?

All stories, photos and what ever are welcome :)

This is where they currently are, the two bigger ones are topped, but the smallest one is not.

This is pretty interesting, two of them are starting to push out trichomes even on stems

Wow wtf is that lol
This seriously cool new mutant strain :)

I dont think its a big yielder, but unique for sure :D Also the terpenes already are very unique and pleasant. One is like coca cola zkittlez with some mango or pineapple or something and a hint of banana and other similar but berry instead of cola. This is judging only on its current state, dunno how it translates to smoke.

What do you expect when you cross a fern with cannabis?

In all seriousness I've seen a few people on reddit growing this so you can check out the microgrowery there. Other than that I havent seen too many people growing this out.

What you are looking at is likely a triploid plant that has been self-pollinated.

One day Jordan noticed bizarre morphologies in a few cannabis plants, and this formed the genesis of his mutant cannabis breeding programs. The most visible of these mutations are leaves that don’t look like marijuana leaves. He first noticed a webbed-leaf female plant he named Webster. The plant had favorable characteristics along with its mutant leaves. Jordan germinated hundreds more plants from that same batch of seeds, but couldn’t find a male Webster. So he bred his female Webster with a premium male that had pinnate leaves. Pinnate leaves look like feathers.

In the following generation, approximately 25% of the plants showed webbed leaves. After a lengthy six-generation breeding program, Jordan had locked in the desired leaf mutation trait 100%. He then selected a phenotype that was purple from top to bottom and created a Purple Webster that smelled like gingerbread.

Jordan continued decades of breeding, in part to increase the presence of ultra-thin and narrow Sativa leaves and high leaflet counts, making crosses that included mutated leaves he calls “sawtooth” leaves. He says most leaf mutations were showing up only on male plants, and Jordan worried that mutant leaf traits were sex-dependent. However, he eventually found females with these mutations.

His breeding projects focused on preserving favorable mutations, as well as creating plants with very high THC and terpenoid content, and other desirable characteristics of pure Sativas. He describes Freakshow as being so far off of “normal” morphological development that it deserves its own species listing. It has a variety of rare, landrace Sativa genetic influences, as well as genetics from heritage versions of Big Bud, Skunk #1, Big Sur Holy, and Banana Kush.

This article is junk. Seems like someone trying to weave a web of bullshit.
I don't believe the story.

This is why its always best to check sources. The site its on is growingmarijuanaperfectly.com which looks like its someone's blog at best.
Whats even better is to mindlessly reject everything.

What does it matter if that page is someones blog or not? They interview the breeder there..

The guy has documented the progress of this and has been posting all sorts of mutations along the way in breeding this. You can find many on his instagram page.

I think you guys need a new folio hat lol

If you use peoples blogs as sources for your arguments you'll find you lose most debates. Blogs are opinion pieces trying to promote something.
I prefer an unbiased opinion when discussing a subject instead of hyping your boy up which is what this blog seems to be about.

Why would we need tinfoil hats? Your the jackass whose mindlessly rejecting an opinion claiming fake news.

lol. You are being overly suspicious about this. I posted that because it was the first piece of text about it that came from google. I know this same thing from other sources, but just wanted to copypaste it for others instead of explaining it myself. Like i said you can go on instagram to check how this project has developed form not that much mutations to this type of mutation. There is nothing fake about the text i posted. You just think that it must be some conspiracy because your tinfoil hat is losing its powers. This is how new stuff is developed in plant world, nothing special in this. They have done it with tons of plants before, modern bananas were found the same way for example. Do you know where mandarins or klementines come from? How about lime?

So yea get yourself a new tinfoil hat and stop spamming my topic with your idiot crap

I'd want to cross those frosty stem phenos out to something modern and see what comes out.
Yea i actually have clones from both of those better looking females and am planning to make some fem'd seeds between them. And also putting that on some regular plant and see what comes out. Im hoping the unique terp profile would translate, but that they would look more normal in their growth.

Im also going to throw some of that male pollen(that i have collected a bit already and more coming all the time) to pollinate amherst sour diesel with. And maybe use that fem pollen on gorilla breath, triple g or something else perhaps.
