I am debating between a couple of 240w boards 3000k 660nm from kingbrite versus MJ-650 strips from MEIJU for my 4x8. What would you guys recommend?

you will need at least 4 of the 240’s for the 4x8. I ran 4 of the 240’s in my old flower room and upgraded to the mj650’s in my new flower room. It’s strips or bust for me now I love them, as do my plants

Wow nice set up! Thank you for the answer. If i got the 240w route, i don't plan to get the UV/LG. I will simply go with 3000k 660nm. My question is, is there one that is more worthy than the others from Kingbrite? He has like 8964980364 different model of 240w haha.

Have a nice day!

I understand , have a great week bud . Both look like very respectable sellers so either way i'll end up supporting a great seller :) Wish you all the best with your grow and enjoy these badboys!

The strips are much more efficient than the boards. What you'll find is that any plants that are not directly under the light get significantly less of it. The strips or bars spread the coverage so the entire canopy gets some. The whole industry is moving in that direction.

I have a kingbrite 480w quantum bar and a 650w mega plus (Gavita 1700e clone) from Sanmenxia Geyapex. The kingbrite is a little cheap on the build quality imo. I'd highly recommend the mega plus.

Here's my dream light for a 4x4 or 5x5, but the Meijiu that @bk78 has looks respectable for sure.

I had 2 of these in my cart prior to buying the 650’s. It was a 3 month back order at the time so I pulled the trigger on the ones I have.

Nice. I might start with this one that'll work in a 2x4 or 3x5. Then I could get a second one later for a 4x4 or 5x5. Too bad they're on backorder.

I'll be going with some custom 240w boards from meijiu. Looking at running all 90cri 301b diodes.
They use a 15mm thick heat sink vs 10mm on kingbrite.

301b with osram 660

they were $1250 USD all in shipped to my door For 2
So you're personally happier with the strips over the quantum boards? Seem like a very even distribution of light. There seems to be a shift to strips lately from a few people I know so was curious to your input as well. Thanks in advance

Only 30 days into a super uneven canopy in the new flower room so far and I am pretty happy with everything so far.
