Another year, I should have started this in may, but now you guys get to jump straight to the fun stuff. today was the first bloom feeding, they received 4c of Gaia bloom and 1c of bat guano.

The plants have 3 layers of trellis and I will be doing one major defolianting and then a pesticide/fungicide spray before the buds start to form.

Here are the upgrades from last year:

- 8’ tposts so no wonky rope rigging, 6’ of verticals support
- Rope tied tight holding the trellis taughtly around each 4 sides
- Worm castings
- The trellis is a 6” square, 5’ wide. I bought a 350’ roll for $100
- 13’ of weeping hose per smart pot
- pesticide and fungicide spray(1/2 done)

The strains are:
pineapple skunk
Purple kush

Damn Hawkeye over here hahaha!

I’m using “safer
That stuff is crap. I started spraying my cucumbers with it knowing pm will show up. Once it started it seems the more I spray the more pm I get. One plant I haven’t sprayed and it only has a few spots. Unfortunately us Canadians are limited to stuff that may or may not work.

the concentrate seems better than the bottle spray, I’ve used both, I haven’t seen any pm so I can’t judge just yet. But none of my cucumbers or zucchini plants have pm either yet.

Try foilar feeding silica. It's amazing stuff. It's amazing stuff. For instance it helps protect the plants from over or under watering. It helps the plants take up more nutrients. Also makes the cell walls in the the leaves stronger, so it detours munching bugs.... but this is the greatest part....since it is such a high ph it protects the plant against PM.

Stretch should now be done, I will need to add the last and final trellis nets, but requires a 10’ ladder and a 6’ to reach over the plants. the plants have filled out massively and have received the last fungicide/pesticide spray. I’m now switching to a silica rich(thanks for the tips!) compost tea along with the top dressing which I will be doing again this weekend, 4 cups of Gaia green power bloom and 2 cups of bat guano.

I will be ordering 3000 ladybugs to help combat any future outbreak, I can release 1500ish and keep the rest in a beer fridge for 3 weeks and hit them again.

I found spider mites in the veg tents so I will be trimming the bottoms to collect new clones and cleaning out the tents. I have also acquired clones for neyear:

1. Bruce banner
2. Remo chem dog
3. Blue erkle
4. Pink kandy

so I hope to increase my medical license to 6 to allow for one of each strain next season! 0D10D5F6-6BF5-4C57-A7BC-5145EBBADF25.jpeg47BEB398-B81B-44F2-878B-0C894D10357D.jpeg
