What products would one add to a 4x4 to get a more rounded spectrum? Currently have all 3000k boards
If boards then best bet would be to add DIY monos for better distribution (prob not on board) but a few Bars between with select wavelengths will do the trick as well.
Here is an example: Those are 3k, 90 cri HLG boards along with their x2 supplemental bars & UVA bar. Gave excellent results. Just needed my IR boards hooked up but had no driver.
Bars= 470nm, 630+660nm (maybe ir)
UVA is 400nm i think. 20200320_023318.jpg20200309_030042.jpg20200301_224806.jpg

Agreed. Needs to be white but not regular white leds alone. Either the BroadSpectrum whites or enhanced or both to catch the 380 range. The 470nm plays a big role imo too, which regular white are known for their "Cyan Gap. Prefer to have n/ir too.
Full spectrum = 360nm-850nm for our plants. 400-740 is nice too!
Not burples. Why thhey call the least full spectrum a "full spectrum light" is beyond me, @TMoney69 .
That Mars will do you just fine. Suprised no-one mentioned SpiderFarmer. Its a Mars upgrade, also a budget light.
Good luck. They both have a decent spectrum. Just not a true full spectrum.
i appreciate all the info... it helps. I am still learning. Every grow I see improvement.

good luck friend! you'll be happy with it,

as a side note, that light works really good for 1 plant maybe 2, tops. For 3 its definitely at its limit and could benefit from at least double that wattage. budget can be an issue for sure, i get it. should get a decent amount of bud regardless.
I will keep my 1200 + 1000w lights in grow also.. thanks again for need to know info. They call it a weed... I wish my weeds in my yard was this fanatic about growing. Cause they would be dead. Lol

When growing for personal purpose it don’t add to budget. But when paying $$$$ for shitty green it is worth the money down the road. Thanks

Yeah, the light isn't full spectrum, as only the sun can do that, just saying. And it's about value and budget! Keep up the great work growmie!

Finally looking a little better. If u start ur flowering date when the white hairs arrive... well, it’s only been in flower for 2/3 weeks... buds have shown progress, starting to fatten up. I up my Tiger bloom and molasses ..
Today photo. My Mars Ts1000 should be here next
week... I hope a I have time to allow light to advance my girls jewels before harvest. What y’all think... Maybe a reflective background would help also?
anyone tried the FF trio as spray? I don’t care to mist the buds but the fan leaves I don’t mind. Need input.

Still using blurple leds till my TS1000 arrives. Must say they are filling out well now. 24hr light. 12 hr direct sun and 12hr under lights. No pest issue and she is drinking heavily. Started Molasses and water yesterday. I will use till week before harvest. Then I will go dark 3 days then harvest. Get them diamonds sparkling on her.

Buy a mars ts 1000. Great value, under 150 depending on your location. I just pulled 13 zips off the equivalent light only mine is 300 watts (tsw2000) instead of the ts 1000 being at 150 watts. Look for a discount code on RIU. I saw one posted just the other day on here.
Received my TS1000 . Maybe it will increase size of buds. They gave fatten up well since we last spoke. Help of sun light and blurple led

White & burple leds make a great combo as long as your burple is not blue (450nm) heavy. If so, then a 27k or so white led in the middle would compliment the Heavy blue burples.
Vice versa works the same way. When i did it my burples were 75% reds. My whites are over 25% in blues (450+470nm) so it worked well. Actually pulled down more then ever & bigger. That was dropping my rooms total "electrical" efficiency by quite a bit too, By using the low-quality burbles. The heavy red increased bud size in my case & the colors created more colors in the flower.
Mars & SpiderFarmer come with a pretty well balanced (for what's popular now) spectrum as is. But the green & other wavelengths in white will still help big time.
What burples are they you're using again?

Honestly I bought some from amazon and I have 2 of them. They work great. A little small but one does great for 3 plants. Currently have them in 2 gallons. But will move them to 5 gallon paint buckets . I have 6. So that’s why I have 1 for 3 plants. So 2 total

Exlenvce 1500W 1200W LED Grow Light Full Spectrum for Indoor Plants Veg and Flower, led Plant Growing Light Fixtures with Daisy Chain Function (Triple-Chips 15W LED) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QY16YRD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3xffFbQKFB7R0

That light is really only 235W total. It will grow bud and I have used similar myself but they don't work near as well as a good light.
