Males can grow female parts just as much as females grow male parts.. hermie is just multi sex..
It doesnt just happen to females..

The first signs of sex will come in between a branch in the main stalk where you're seeing those male flowers now. The difference between a male flower and a female flower is that a male flower looks like two lemon wedges raised up on a stick whereas a female flower is just that shape that two lemon wedges together shape and they're right up against the corner no stick raising him up into the air. Usually females will pop a Tell-Tale white hair out of the Pod or calyx which will help to tell you it's female as well. So what you got there is more than likely just a male. Most of the time if it's a hermaphrodite it'll start popping female flowers and then sneak in a few males. And of course as the male flowers grow bigger they start to look like Bunches of bananas or balls and become very easy to spot but by then it's usually too late to get him out of the garden if you got females there.

True hermaphrodites are different than Nanners.

I have been particularly unlucky with herms in the last 10 years .I feel that the mixing of everything is watering down some of the stronger heritage strains of the past .there is an exception to every rule but I doubt most breeders have the time to really vet these crosses to see how stable they are .I get it.im trying some breeding exercises and seeing how long it takes with a known male and unknown female to vet the stock and tell if it's stable im guessing 18 months to 24 .including the time it takes to make the seeds.it's a long road and if you go that way your not going to have a new flavor every week.maybe not even once a month.so I get it but the simple answer for growers Is a clean room or hospital tank.lol a room just for new unproven plants that have to pass thru to the next area.otherwise get ready for unwanted seeds if your pushing numbers of untested plants even with God as your co pilot...

Hey everyone thanks for replies! Well most of them anyways this plant is only 3 months old I planted it on 4/20 no joke. Anyways, I started another seed last night after these replies. I’m gonna keep it inside while I let this one do its thang, it really does have hairs poppin so maybe I can or hopefully make some butter out of anything worth keeping.
