I just got up and now its at 71 and other is at 72 should i take them out to dry a bit or leave them in jar with lid off. @PadawanWarriorI have an exhaust fan in my drying tent that only comes on when humidity rises above a set level and then the exhaust runs as slow as possible to just get it back down and shuts off. This method is much easier than a fan in the space. If only 1 plant is drying at a time, i can even see when its almost ready by the humidity not coming back up as quickly after the exhaust runs.
If your drying space dries faster than you want, try to reduce the volume of space you are drying in. Fans in the space are not as effective as an exhaust fan that only removes excess humidity. Also you can leave plants whole or with fan leaves on if it dries faster than desired.
3 days is fine imo. Some buds are smaller sometimes. The key isnt exactly how long it is a process of slow drying and curing.
A huge cola takes a long time to dry...smaller pieces do not. Although time does matter, there is no cutoff i.e. dry it 7 days no matter what. That imo is how not to cure it. Like growing we watch our buds and respond to the conditions we have.
The smell and quality are related to how you grew. Drying and curing can maximize it or fuk it up...it cannot make ok bud great though. So time to dry is a small step in a longer curing process and what matters most is well grown. Slow dried is great for sure, but fast is a day, not 3.
Integra boost, bovedas alter smell and tasteI picked up boveda packs gonna save me some trouble
I'd take them out of the jar and put them in a paper bag for a little bit. Then jar them back up. Or even on a paper plate for an hour or so. I've done it both ways.I just got up and now its at 71 and other is at 72 should i take them out to dry a bit or leave them in jar with lid off. @PadawanWarrior
Ya i took themm out and dryed them a bit then put them back in jars with the packsI'd take them out of the jar and put them in a paper bag for a little bit. Then jar them back up. Or even on a paper plate for an hour or so. I've done it both ways.
Don't expect the Boveda's to lower RH though. I only use them to raise it a bit if the buds start getting below 57% or 58%.
Just so you know, you can recharge and reuse the packs.Ya i took themm out and dryed them a bit then put them back in jars with the packs
Ya i was wondering if that was possible or not. How is it done?Just so you know, you can recharge and reuse the packs.
70 and up you want to dry it for 2 to 6 hours in a carefully controlled space. The jars can work but in a bag, a mesh net in a tent or some form of intermediate drying (between hang dry and jar dry) should be used imo. Whatever you find works well.I just got up and now its at 71 and other is at 72 should i take them out to dry a bit or leave them in jar with lid off. @PadawanWarrior
