If I had a 6x6 I would definitely want to run 4 x 600 in there myself, might could be convinced to mix with 315's since the 600's are a cunt hair much and the 315's a cunt hair less. So a checkerboard of 2 x 315 and 2 x 600 would be pretty tight.

To make it easy to visualize, get graph paper and make a 4x8 box. Cut out two 3x3 squares and a 4x4 square. See how they don't fit well in the 4x8.

I prefer less cunt hair, so I like the sound of 4 315 CMH's.

I am just not that fond of CMH since it failed to perform well compared to HPS when it comes to yield. I think a blend could bring the best of both.
I was kinda teasing about the cunt hair thing. I haven't heard that in awhile.

I love CMH with LED, but I dim the LED's so they can be at the same height as the CMH. Wouldn't the 600's need to be a little higher than the 315's and kinda be blocked by the lower CMH's? I'm sure HPS with CMH rocks though.

I see a 4x4 making 1000 grams easy. I wouldn't be happy with less, the scrog means you will fill the 4x4, one plant or 50, should get 1000 grams. I pull over 4 pounds a plant with each having a 4x4 but I have the area to side light adding the side canopy.
Appreciate all the advice guys.
And if you're pulling 4+ a plant (which I know your pictures don't lie)... then I'll take you word and stick to the 2X 1kW.

Quick noob question. If a plant is capable of 4+ or even 10+ that I've seen photographs of, why is it breeders will only state "600 grams per plant if grown outdoors"?

Because they are trying to sell stuff, they can say whatever but what if you sprout a plant in November and veg it all winter and place a massive tree outside in the spring? Plus most advertise it as per sq meter not plant. All those numbers are really meaningless IMO, you the grower are the single biggest factor aside from genetics, some folks can't get above 0 grams per sq meter or plant. lol I have seen strains advertised at 450 beat out plants that were advertised at 600 (same breeder).

Any of those is under lit for 36 sqft. Thing about a 6x6 is you really would do best with 4 x 600 or 4 x 315 or a mix. The square footprint of the lights means each gets a 3x3.
Ah shit, ok, I don’t want to leave yield on the table. There is so much contradicting info and I figured over 40 was ok, it is the most I have used. It’s a DE hps and SE mh currently. 2k de hps in 6x6 would be 55, at 7-9ft footprint should be somewhat ok. I should know my current run yield in a few weeks, I was going to base my lights off that.

Jesus. I thought 2.5 elbows was pro numbers for the 1000w. 3 if you're a master. Youre the man if youre hitting 1800g per 4x4. Now I'm excited to get all my phenos selected and dial in my training. Going full super soil so its no work there. I assume you fully control your vpd?

Seriously, if you hit that consistently, youre a Shogun.

DE is different than SE, probably rectangular foot print and covers a little more area, especially if on overdrive. I wanna be at 50 watts per sqft of SE HPS without supplemental CO2 and 60 with CO2.

If anyone deserves a 'Don't you know who I am?' Moment, it is Renfro, whatever you want to call him, I'd invest in his buisiness if he ever swapped over to a legal consumer market.
I use my knowledge to "buy in" to get a percentage of ownership. So in exchange for my knowledge I own a small piece of some legal grows in various states, sometimes it's actual ownership and others it's a contract for a percentage of the gross. Best to get me at the get go before you spend a cent or build anything. Full paid access to my head space is way more than what you get here.

Alright, thanks man, i haven’t used overdrive yet, good idea haha. My 600 is boosted but I didn’t really think of the 1k. I will revisit lights later when it’s time, soon.

Not the worst buisiness model with the amount of new markets opening. Respect.

Could always reinvest into venture capital, specifically the private equity sector that will emerge in the first few years of the legal market; if you are feeling like going the soulless route.

I will stick with what I know and after 30 years doing it, that's growing weed. lol You would be amazed how many people are trying to jump into the game, with adequate funding but no skills on deck. Having me on the team equates to success, plain and simple. Listen to me and skip all the bullshit fucking around. lol
