Damn if anyone tells you growing weed is easy, bullshit! But man, between the time it takes and the money it's almost worth buying a goddam $18 joint at the dispensary.... (*almost*)... but yeah, two 800W lights running 12 hours, inline fans, oscillating fan, 50p dehumidifier, a 14k BTU air conditioner running 24/7, and then there's the drying room with fans and dehumidifier... I'm gonna go broke! Jeesh maybe i should just give up weed lol

Use LEDs and you might be able to ditch the AC. Big energy savings there.

My whole grow rig is less than 400W. It can produce 8-12oz without any special tricks.

My lights might be overpowered... I'm using a California Lightworks Solar Extreme 1000 LED in each tent... they draw 800W each... but gawd I'd hate to downgrade after spending all that scratch... gotta make these work!

I get it homie, but the most difficult part of growing for me is keeping the wifey happy!

As a small, personal use medical grower, i ran 4 buckets with a 1K HID lamp per; 1/2 hp chiller, huey and dehuey, 120 lpm air pump, 500 gph circulation pump, 1200 gph chiller pump, miscellaneous circulation fans, 8" can fan. I live in an area where electricity charge changes with time of day and increases if your use is above a set limit per month; worst electrical bill was $1200 dollars/month.

I ran the full AN line minus the beneficial bacteria, and those doo-dads work (to a point). I've had runs that gave me 33 gms of full melt straight off the trim tray with another 100 - 200 grams of kif off the trays. Much of the recipe may not be necessary for a successful grow, but those extras, properly used, definitely improve the quality and quantity of the bud. I also flushed for 2 weeks.

I also used the full AN lineup on a Conny base outdoors; this was some Iranian Diesel from Dr. Greenthumb(in a Mega C- Vault) ;

I'm a low budget PU MMJ grower. I use a 6 bulb T5 in a 2ft by 4 ft tent 8 plant S.O.G and am able to grow more than i need. in the 6 years Ive been growing I tried cheap LEDs and a DIY using bridgelux eb strips but always came back to my T5s you don't need to spend a lot of money to grow good medicine. I' seen some good grows just using CFLs

Cheapest way to grow cannabis is outdoors. Of course you get what you pay for so growing outdoors comes with a lot of risks that growing indoors is designed to mitigate or minimize.

If you can deal with the risks that come with growing outdoors you can easily produce pounds of quality bud for very little cash. Growing outdoors successfully is more about a time commitment than cash.

I think one saving grace is Summer is a bitch for indoor growers. It seems anytime but summer is pretty easy to control the environment...but hot wet summer is a bitch. You will love growing a Fall batch.

It would seem ideally in most climates an indoor grows Fall Winter and Spring and an outdoor grow that runs through Summer would be an ideal setup but a lot of work.

My electric bill was $550 last month. $100 more than usual due to a heat wave. A friend of mine has a much larger grow operation than I do. His bill was $1150 last month. That made me feel better.

Not bad for me. My grow room is in the basement. It's connected to the main furnace / AC. The hottest my tent gets is 78F in the summer. The humidity is perfect at 50-60% in the summer. It gets drier and colder in the winter.
