Not nearly big enough to be root bound.Yeah get more soil in that pot maybe an inch below the top. Water the plant. Let it dry for a day. The previous days watering will help hold everything together when you remove it from the pot. Carefully turn the pot over and support the plant between your fingers. pull the plant out Add more soil to the bottom of the pot and then place the plant on top and tap it all in firmly. While the plant is out of the pot examine the roots. Check for it being root bound. I doubt it is but pictures are tough to judge sometimes. Check back in a week and see if you see any difference.
That would probably be good IF you think you can remove it from that pot without damaging the rootball..... Plant doesnt look big enough to transplant for the amount of dirt its in but i could be wrong. What about putting her in a 3 gallon fabric pot
I think a lot of people confuse a healthy root ball with being root bound.I got her transplanted and she was getting rootbound no damage done at all I transplanted into promix and earthworm castings and some fox farm fertilizer just used a quarter of a cup and mixed it in the soil
Im not sure what you mean. The first picture is the absolute soonest i would transplant....any sooner and you risk the whole root ball falling apart as soon as you get it in your hand. The first picture I mean
I wouldnt say she was getting rootbound, i would just say it was time to up pot. When u said ppl get a healthy root system confused with root bound it was time to up pot she was getting rootbound is what I'm Meaning
Just me but I would try and get them back healthy before topping. Just so you don’t put any extra stress on them. But when you do, top just above the 5th node.Is it time to top her and how to properly do it
every spot on the main stem that has two leaves/branches coming off it is a node (everywhere there is a leaf, there will be a branch if there isnt one already)Ok I know this is a silly question but how do I count the nodes I’ve researched it but not clear still
