Are you really saying someone who have been shot by the cops, was being scared and not a threat in any way, should mean nobody would care that the cop then murdered George Floyd by kneeing on his neck for 9 minutes?
Especially when the cop had him in the car door and decided to torture George Floyd and not just close the door and be done with it if they were going to arrest him.
That cop murdered that man, and it is pretty shitty to pretend in any way shape or form it was justified by the couple minutes of arrest video that starts off with someone having a gun waved in their face.

When told to show his hands, he repeatedly reached all over the vehicle. At this point the officer drew his weapon as he had every right to. Once they got him to the cruiser he would not get in. Officers were trying to push and pull him into the cruiser at the same time. Floyd then decided to jump over the back seat and out of the cruiser on the other side. This is when he was met with force. He was not complaint in any way throughout the entire ordeal.

Sure there is so many things that can go on, people's adrenaline get peaked and training triggers.
That is all secondary to the problem that is having a large police presence deal with our communities when there is not an immediate need for for the possibility of hurting a civilian. We overwork our police and ask way too much from them. Someone with significant training in mental health would have been able to talk to that dude for a little while and bring him in safety, let the cops be on scene, but they shouldn't be the ones initiating contact in every non violent case.

Our mental health system is already bursting at the seams. Good luck magically getting millions of new trained professionals who want to go out in the real world and deal with people who are blasted out of their mind on hard drugs. Just being a regular therapist is a 6 year degree let alone one that can deal with spun out crackheads. Seriously, call around and see when the soonest available appointment is for a shrink near you. 4 months? 6 months? More? And who is going to pay the 200$ plus an hour they charge? Not me.

All that lawsuit money saved will need to be sent somewhere. And hourly pay is not the same as a insurance payment to a medical center, but I am guessing you know that.
