Taking cuttings from flowering plants (AKA Monster Cropping) - Question

I have some outdoor mothers that I unwittingly let slip into flower, probably only 10 days in, and I need to take cuttings asap. I've read the "how tos" but still have a question. And I've actually tried this once before but it took over a month and ended up only about 25% rooted, so I'm hoping to achieve better results this time.

My question is, when taking the cuts should I try and cut out any buds. In looking at them close up the very top node is budding. Should I cut that node off, just like if I'm topping a veg plant? Or should I just leave the buds?

Any other tips on how to have a better success rate is appreciated.

I leave the buds on mine. Takes a bit longer because the plant has to go back into veg mode, but after that it’s perfectly fine.

I used to take cuts 1-2 weeks into flower to make it fit the schedule better and they never took longer than other cuts to root.

Rooting can be a problem in general(especially for newbies) but i have near 100% success with two plasticcups and jiffy7 "pots".

Place the cut in the jiffy7 and then put in one cup, give 3-4 sprays with water from a water atomizer(dont know the right word so i googled.) put the other cup upside down on top of the first one and give that 1-2 sprays of water too and apply two pieces of tape to hold the top cup in place, leave in the heated cuttingtray with small heat (24c ish) or in a room with decent temps and a little lights.. Come back after 2 weeks and you have cuts with roots.

I was really suprised about this method when i first learned it back in the day, but its works 100% and you dont have to pay any attention to the cuts for those 2 weeks, just let them sit there and they will 100% root.

do you guys ever find when you monster crop ... the flowers on the next round have a revegged type of look them ... not as dense ... I did it with GG4 and my yield increased but the nugs didnt tighten up like normal

Do you leave the lights on 24/7?

Damn sounds much easier than all the other shit I was reading. You just tape those two cups together after spraying inside, leave it for 2 weeks then come and open them back up?

Yep, it sounds stupid but it works every time, i had tried loads of different stuff aswell and bought all kinds of clone equipment, but i had hard time getting them to root, so this method was gold for me.

I use transparent cups so i can see when roots come out, which is after 10-14 days most of the time.

Just to follow up, my clones rooted far quicker than I had imagined they would. Some rooted in 7 days, most rooted in 10 days, and all rooted by 14 days, very much like regular clones. These pics were taken at 14 days.

I ended up cutting out the buds on about half the clones and leaving them in on the other half, I wanted to see if there was a noticeable difference. At the end of the day there was no noticeable difference. They all cloned equally well and timely.

80 is not too high for clones, as long as they are kept lightly moist and humid. However, you need very little light for rooting. One bulb would be suffice.

Would I have to have a second or third fixture
or
could I do with just the one fixture?

cause I don’t want to have to do other plan i would have to undo the staples that hold Romex for other fixture to left to slide it over and then there is one more fixture but the romex on that one is ran through a hole in each of 5 or 6 rafters

So unless someone knows a simple way to make romex male female so I can make the third fixture plug optional

Edit: you can see the romex daisy in white above the light towards the back(my previous post)

4-6 plants... i'd put all the bulbs back in lol but if you were able to veg with those lights before I don't see why not. They look like they might cover 4 plants.

idk about that close during veg, you may not cover all the area you need covered. Judge on how much space you plan on taking up and see if you can get a light meter to see what intensity your canopy is getting from the light with all the bulbs in at a more raised distance.
