Pruning during flowering?

Hi I have a skunk plant that I topped about 3 weeks ago. It's in flowering now and the main future cola sites are streching vertically. Can I remove the new growth leaves in between the top colas? Their baby leaves and they only look like they will clutter up the airflow and light. Is it ok to pinch them when its basically preflowering? I'm just not sure if you should mess with the top during flowering even if it's just baby new growth leaves?

Very debatable question. I normally like the plant to do it's thing and don't touch.

This grow I've had a lot of growth and I've been removing internal fan leaves buried within the plant to prevent growth of mold or fungus. I would rather prune to ensure good airflow rather than risk and not touch it. I do up to 5 leaves a day if necessary.

I'm also pulling out dead leaves to.

I would keep all small leaves on. That's how the plant gets its energy is through the leaves so IMO, only pull what's absolutely necessary. I target the large hand sized fan leaves.
