One light or many?

I'm getting ready to upgrade my lights. Got a 5'x5' flower space. Trying to decide which will be better. One big light or four smaller ones. Figure I'll get better area coverage with four lights. Any opinions are welcome.

in a 5x5 id assume 4 lights about any size would be too many i just got 2 xxxl magnum hoods for my 5x9 flower tent

I'm looking at the Mars Hydro 4000w versus 4 1000w same brand. Just wondering if the falloff from the lights will be different.

I'm open to suggestions though. I have a bit of extra money right now.
Stay away from Mars. 2 of these would be $873 after code "RIU10". There's lots of options depending on your budget.

More lights are far better even coverage to utilise more overall intensity and not fry things. In a 5x5 4x cmh would be nice if you want to run bulbs, might be the wiser option if you are in a cold year round country.

For led and cob you have lots of choices but the same principle applies, low W units spread across the entire space as much as possible. 1200W of cob/led would be no joke in a space that size, comfortably passing 3lb with the right strain and attention. You can drop down to 800/1000W of led if money is currently an issue and still easily pass the 2lb mark with a run of the mill sog net set-up. Cobs and leds still send a shit ton of heat into the roof area so make sure you run an 8" out take, directly above the centre of the space to suck the hot air off the units and protect them from summer time over heating.

Sounds like you would be more interested in her nightstand drawer than her mountains of stamps, ink pads and die-cuts... :bigjoint:
Hah, you're probably right. Compared to my wife's night stand drawer, stamps, ink pads and die cuts are about as adventurous as it's going to get.
