Dry options, which is the less risky?

Hi Folks,

I decided to cut Matilda at her 12th week.

I know I've been suggested to wait a bit more but the plant is getting worse and i think it's now the best time to avoid any issues, as the drying leaves are reaching the buds, and they may start looking funny soon if i don't cut.

Anyway so much focus on the grow that I forgot to think where to dry and now i'm facing this question with quite rush.

I'm in a very humid country, in my house the avg RH is 65% but it reach 70% easily, but in the grow tent i've been able to bring it down lower than 60% with a small dehumidifier running almost 24h.

Now I've to decide TODAY where to dry, as i need to proceed with the cut as soon as possible.

I've another baby almost at her second week, growing under a CFL outside the tent, and I want to move it in the tent with the mars hydro as soon as possible.

But where to hung and dry these guys?

1: Closet, I've a small wood closet (30cmx30cmx30cm) (not fully closed, so there is a bit of air circulation), i checked the temp and humidity for the last 24 hours:
without dehumidifier, it's between 63 and 70 depending by the weather
with the dehumidifier, the RH drop to 60% possibly even lower, but being so small, it gets warmer and warmer, 28 Celsius after couple of hours so i can't keep it running 24h in such small space, and if i open the door, is totally useless.

2: In the tent with the extraction vent and the small vent not pointing on the buds, possibly preferred way, but i would need to keep the other baby out, growing under the CFL for longer, and i would honestly love to move it under the Mars Hydro today.

3: Any other technique which would avoid me using the tent? Maybe a big card board, I can make some holes, I can put a vent outside blowing air close it, and i can put the dehumidifier in or outside, what you think? I don't think this would probably drop the humidity though..

4: Is there anything i can buy to make my life easier? maybe the next time?

I bought a big dehumidifier which painters use in big rooms and made my life ez. If you worry about the humidity I reccomend to wet trim your buds and one by ine put it on a drying rack.

In the tent, in a controlled environment! Really, I don't understand why you would use any of those other silly alternatives. I mean, think about it, you have worked really hard to get her to harvest, now you want to skimp on one of the most important parts of making what you have grown become all that it could truly be. All because you got another plant waiting to go into that tent. Heck, let that bitch wait, and first dry what you are about to harvest properly, so it will become the best that it can be!

In the tent with constant ventilation , least for the first week then you can move to cupboard if you want the space back.
I would wet trim the lot in high humidity situation.

Just use your closet, and add a desiccant in there (DampRid) to drop the rH down to an acceptable level.

I like to start drying my plants at 65% rH, and letting it drop to 55% or below over the course of a week or more. Slower the dry, the better the buds.

Wet trim today, hang in tent for 3 - 4 days then into the wooden closet or cardboard box.
Plenty of ventilation as @coreywebster says.

This is a taboo subject but you could also move your cut into tent and grow and dry at the same time. I has done this and still got stoned to the bone with the end product. Some think it's detrimental but they have never tried it.
Humidity here at moment is 79%
I like 20°C - 22°C temps when drying

I would use the closet.
Don't worry about about the temps, the herb can handle that, but with high humidity it will take forever too dry.
I use a closet with a dehumidifier & strings set up to hang the bud from & it works like a charm.
When you cut, trim immediately and hang your bud, do not lay them flat or the bud will compress.
Good luck & stay safe :)

I dry my weed in a spare bathroom/shower. The temps stay in the low 70's and RH stays above 60%.
I remove the large fan leaves and let the colas hang for 7-10 days until the stems snap.
I use a small fan to promote air movement.
Then it gets bucked into paper grocery bags for a few days to let moisture levels equalize.
The main thing is to make sure it's dry enough before you seal it in a jar. That's when mold can appear.

Sorry guys if i did not update u! I was pretty busy!

So, I kept on the tent for 8 days and now moved into jars, keeping them half day opened and half day closed for the moment!
Did you mean to post that first photo???

I know I'm late to the party but how much did you yield dry? I'm about to give a 40cmx40cmx120cm a go too!

I got 50 gr which is a lot more that expected. I Think LST made the difference especially when you have such small place... wanted always to try couple of plant, but honestly more i grow more i don't think they would fit
