Rdwc drain?

Thinking about adding a drain into my soon to be rdwc system. Basically a bulk head fitting coming off the bottom of the buckets all daisy chained with a valve at the end...
1- would the roots just grow right into this and render it useless...?
2- given that this nutrient solution up to the valve would be stagnant, would it cause issues with unwanted growths ( algae, mold, whatever )?
3- maybe I’m just thinking to far into this and it’s really not necessary

Light grows algae

Rain is acidic.

Grow normal and collect rainwater if desired. Don’t use as water alone. Needs at least general harness mineral and probably some minor elements and mAjor (ca mg)

a drain is the best thing i did with my rdwc. i ran 1/2 pvc line to a floor drain next to my hot water heater.
What did you do for the fitting in the root chamber? I’m a little worried roots will grow through and clog up what I have ( haven’t installed yet )?

I just hung a little pump up at the top of of one bucket with a bit of pipe on it. Its high enough to be out of the way and only takes a second to plug in. It pumps out through a long garden hose that i ran out of the sir conditioner return to the room under the house through the crawl space and out the back yard. I also ran a supply line for reverse osmosis filter and drain for it also.
