I’d definitely go with the shorter indica hybrid strain. You’re dads is probably almost %100 sativa and wouldn’t give me the high I strive for. Good for hash or oil. I don’t agree that your dads will have bigger buds, if you keep yours well feed which looks like it’s in better shape your harvest will be 2x at least. Colas easily the size of a 2L bottle. I’m growing in the same environment and this summer has been pretty hot. Feed those ladies as much as you can flowering should be finished by mid October give or take!

I'd wait until they were done and compare the smoke. It's the end result that matters to me. 
They both look nice, that bushy one will prob yield more. I'd be worried about a sativa finishing in time before winter hits. Like others have said they are just on the opposite spectrum when it comes to weed varieties. Both look to be doing real well.
One thing that could hurt the bushy plant compared to the other one is that it's right against the fence and beside that shed. Both of which could be blocking light and air flow.

It’s about which ones are gonna finish in the end take out the percentage of bud rot, I’m in southernontario also Sativas take so long to flower and finish I’ve found unless I force flower by covering them in July instead of waiting they can finish with most the Indicas. N distance to the sun doesn’t matter we’re so far away the 5 foot distance isn’t gonna make a difference now of one has more hours direct sunlight that will affect yield and so forth.
