Drying process

Hey first harvest was last night.
Are the buds supposed to get a bit more hydrated before they start drying on the first day?

What Temps and RH are you drying in.. Leaves droop and become soft initially, when chopping the whole plant. Pics and some more info goes a long way.

No they just feel that way, leave them a week they will feel dry.

If they are whole plants, or did u wet trim?

I just cut the three colas not whole plant. I have them outside in cardboard box but it’s great conditions here in Canada. Very little rain and it got a bit cooler. Around 22-25 C and around 30-50% humidity. If I could do it inside I would I know it’s not ideal at all outside drying but was my only option.

Curing won’t be too much of a problem. It wasn’t a big plant and was my first one. I’ll maybe get 2oz if I’m lucky.

Sounds like youve done well, how did the drying process go? Its really not as hard as people say, a cardboard box or paper bag is best for small grows, its only really closets you need for bigger grows. If the buds are dry within 5 to 10 days your good

It went decently well I think I could’ve waited another day or so but only ended up with around an oz. it’s crszy how much u lose after but the bud was decent just jarred it too early and got that grassy smell
